I do what I do to pay homage to our ancestors and believe we are required to be about building those bridges for 2045. God knows our hearts- I am about "us" liking ourselves--and that is what hip hop is all about! That healing power of confidence--our perspective of ourselves. Like ya'll said- iron sharpens iron. In my New Release, I basically share that I have sin(ned), and- ask God to forgive..but I still reach to improve. My people are "ready" to see us fall..and that must end. Killer Mike, in my gmail, I get hit with every democratic candidate running for whatever office asking for money, some I support some I don't. Can't we as a people have access to that same email list and enlist donations to put community vegetable gardens in our most needed areas, and ask our elders who are retired and home all day, cultivate those gardens and then get the kids and families who will benefit from the fresh fruit and vegetables to help pick and can. I will donate on a monthly basis to see this come to fruition. And I challenge all the sports figures and artist to seed this in the beginning.
