This is just about the time I quit and went back to school. So great to see matched from this era. IIRC Steve Cook was considered one of the great movers of the two decades leading up to this match.

Wow looking forward to this one Pat. I have fond memories shooting in a tournament with Rafael in the Bay Area, he let me use one of his cues. I miss him. Great to see him and Cook play.

Rafael is one of the most interesting players to watch. He is always doing some sort of crazy shot with success.

Steve used to play in the Thursday Night 8 ball tournament with a HUGE Calcutta at Kosta in Mansfield, Ohio in the 90s. Great player and great guy. RiP Cookie!!

Steve shot in a vnea league before his passing. Watched him run tables of 8 ball never touching a rail . Shot against him in match got one of three should have got two . Quiet unassuming man RIP Cookie

Great match. Both made some really great shots. Steve Cook is G.O.A.T of one pocket. Of US players.

What great fundamentals by Rafael. Stays so still and his head never moves.

14:52 I don't understand why he had to spot a ball after that shot.

Steve would play exhibitions at the Journeys End in Tampa. Dan Bowers . We would play Chess. He was the Best. Ask Alan Hopkins?

Was Grady ever wrong about anything in one pocket ? Just love how he would over talk the other guys and their opinions.

I don’t know how this pool hall was back in the day. But nowadays it’s straight trouble. And in a rough part of town where people show up not to shoot pool but to look for problems.
