Exactly. And drig addicts should immediately have parental rights terminated. If you don't love your child enough to quit drugs, you should not be allowed to raise a child. Everyone failed this little girl. The uncle tried to get help, but everyone else is complicit in her death. That step mother especially has a lot of blame. How anyone can stand by and allow a baby to get beat is an absolute monster. RIP sweet Harmony. At least your pain is no more.

The judge who gave that monster custody should be in prison as well. They should have NEVER taken Harmony from her foster parents home. Harmony was like a ping pong ball for years going back and forth between her mom and the foster parents. I blame the mom too. She was given so many chances to clean herself up and be a mother to her daughter and every time she messed it up.

As a former child protection worker in Australia I am horrified at the American system of prioritising parents “rights” over the welfare of a child. The backwards and forwards of this poor child from foster care to one parent and then the other is utterly reprehensible. Authorities involved in this case should be ashamed of themselves.

Not trying to defend any of the perpetrators but, I'm interested if the investigation looked into whether Kayla may have been suffering from battered woman syndrome considering Adam's unregulated and perpetual violence. BWS which if I'm not mistaken, repeated reconcilitory acts may also extend to children who are victims of the same abuser. Just speculating, she seems remorseful/traumatized and was willing to testify against Adam only after she felt absolutely safe that she could do so knowing her own life/safety wasn't at risk from him retaliating (hence her lying to him and committing perjury). This whole situation is tragic beyond words, for sure.

It is. I lost my children at one point due to it coming out that I was on drugs. No criminal history, no abuse... but you can't be on drugs and take care of children. You just can't. My sobriety date is their removal date. I fought like hell to get them back and never did relapse. 9 months it took me, and I couldn't understand why it took so long. I watch stuff like this and... wonder why they gave them back so fast. I honestly to this day don't know if I deserve to have a second chance as their mother, but I'll tell you that at my worst my children were fed, clothed, snuggled, and always had a warm place to live. I would have killed someone for hitting them or any other child. Neglect is abuse so, no excuses - because I was absent. In the garage doing drugs when I should have been being a mother. They weren't properly supervised, and they had no stability. Up till 2 am, dinner at 10 pm, etc. If I ever were to relapse and go down that road again? I don't deserve another chance. You either learn or you don't. If you don't, children shouldn't be the ones to pay the price. Addiction sucks, and it takes a lot from you... but it's still a choice. Murdering your child is a choice. Dragging her body with you all over the place is a choice. Freaking disgusting. Yes, we should try to keep families together - until parents make the choice to prioritize their bad habits. Protecting the child should always be the priority. Always. Not protecting the addicted pos's parental rights.

Dennis Boo Vaughan was murdered the same week as Harmony in the same town but his case was covered up by town officials. CPS was called over 30 times on behalf of Dennis. But cps ignored all the complaints. Some of the reports were made by Police officers, family & school staff! He died on Christmas 2019, murdered by his grandmother who has still not been charged or arrested! The police are ignoring his case for some reason. Even the DA promised his mother rhat something would be done but nothing ever happened. We need help getting justice for Dennis! So please if could cover his case that would help his family out a lot. Nobody but me would share his case. this family needs help getting a proper investigation! @misanthrophex
@misanthrophex 2 ай бұрын
Well that's *their* agenda. To create as many traumatised people as possible, make everything as hellish as possible, because *they* can easily control people living in absolute chaos. If he was a good man, he wouldn't have got the custody. It's all real shrimple in life, really. *They* love having imbeciles breed, they are hilarious to watch for *them*, imbeciles are also very easily controlled and don't charge the status quo. *They* hate when intelligent people have children, because such people are harder to control and question the system. Children are supposed to be the most important aspect of a person's life. If people aren't ready to give everything for their kids, just simply don't have kids. It really is that shrimple.

Never put his hand on him but just wouldn't do nice things for him when he do something nice for his other kids he'd leave him out. I couldn't take it anymore & walked away for good. Harmony DIDN'T "pass away' she was MURDERED. Harmony Montgomery was MURDERED by an absolute POFS, she DIDN'T "pass away" there was nothing peaceful or gentle about what happened to this little princess and it makes me SICK to my stomach to hear Kayla Montgomery trying her best to make it sound like Harmony's death was anything but brutal. The truth is there are no good foster homes...they are a myth. As a child raised in foster care, abused, beaten, bounced around, placed in groups homes and far worse, I am going to let you in on a little secret, the system is corrupt. There are two kinds of foster parents, those who stack you like sardines, force you to do all the house work, beat you if you dare to argue, feed you kraft dinner while eating roasts and steaks with their children/family- all while screaming about how grateful you should be...these are only in it for the money. Otherwise you are ignored. The other foster parents are looking for weak children who are easy targets, they do not need the money, and are looking for victims who are too weak or too tired of the constant shuffle, to complain...( As children when you have been assaulted by foster parent after foster parent, you come to believe this is normal adult male behavior - because it is all you know, the only kindness you have ever received by any adult began and ended with some for of molestation) IF one of the child's parents are working, ( not on any form of assistance ) they will almost always get custody...regardless of that person's crimes or intentions. ( Seen one male get custody even though he caused the child brain damage from shaking her as a baby, shot at his pregnant wife and child as they fled a 48 hostage situation, where he kidnapped them, he beat up numerous officers, did ten years in the Penn,) and yet they gave him custody over the mother because she would need financial support, and he did not... The workers understand that to take a child away from parents, even bad parents exposes them to all kinds of hardship, with strangers who's motives are always self serving...foster care is not a happy place, and children that come out of foster care are fked up for life

Yes, the system needs to be changed. Reunification with the biological parents is always the goal. I do believe in second chances and helping families who go through a tough season, but the amount of chances biological parents get before the child can be adopted by people who want and love them is a crime IMHO. The Judge(s) that gave custody to the mom 3 times and then to Adam should be held accountable and removed from the bench. Reunification is pushed because the $$ they save when no longer in foster care too so I’m sure DCF recommendations were considered too. I hope anyone involved thinks what this poor girl went through for the rest of their days. And the fact 2 little boys were also with these 2 LIVING IN A CAR-if that’s what you wanna call it. When you have a potty trained kiddo suddenly soiling themselves, constantly...that shows some real long term trauma. The way that girl was ping ponged back and forth between her terrible parents and her loving foster family should also be a crime. DCF and CPS SUCKS. It's easy to sit in judgement when you are not the abused. I used to think like this when I was young, and then I learned better... This type of man isn't afraid of a piece of paper. ( Restraining order) It never starts out like it ends, first they love bomb you, make you feel that you could not live without them. Then they begin to take little things away from you. You don't notice it at first, as they are not demands, just polite asks...like "baby, you do not need to wear make up, you are far more beautiful without it..." and when you wear it anyway they act hurt, or disappointed, manipulatively they slowly taken things away from you, until it's no longer an ask. The first time they hit you or threaten you they immediately apologize, begging for your forgiveness. Family, and friends are not usually aware of when is going on until it's too late, as yi are too embarrassed to talk about it, and he's promised to change... If you leave him, he doesn't let you go, he stalks you, watches you and lets you know he's there....and he cops do nothing...which emboldens him. These men will stop at nothing to get what they want, you become a prisoner in your own home. Kidnapping your wife estranged or otherwise was not a crime until 1996. He could even force you to have 'relations' with him, and he isn't breaking any laws...going to a shelter from your marital home was your right, but cops refused to take the children with you, as they belong to their fathers until 1991, so you would be forced to stay or flee under your own steam, and might even be charged with removing the children from the home...so many women stayed to protect their children... Being beaten into submission by the rules of society... The laws protect the property OWNERS, not the property... Women have been forced to stay with their abusers, to protect the children.. It's not our place to judge until you have walked a mile in her shoes...
