Majority of animals in captivity were rescued or born there, and the reason they are there is that the veterinarians believe they wouldn’t survive in the wild. So yeah you can look at it as cruel due to limited space etc, but with aquatic life it’s hard to give that space in such an enclosed environment. And at the end of the day they are doing what’s best for the animals.
