Killer WHEEL and TIRE UPGRADE Makes this Dentside Epic!

In this episode, Aaron finally upgrades the wheels and tires on Jr Mint, the Sno Fighter! The wheels are custom 17x10 Billet Aluminum Wheel Smith Wheels powder coated in bright white wrapped with 35” BFG All Terrain K02 tires. Aaron then rips the new wheel package through some fresh PA snow and drives around town to see how it feels. This 1979 Ford F250 just became epic!

I had a 1979 F150 that same color lite jade I ordered new,someone stole it in 1983 .I still miss that truck!

Hey thank you! The steering may be slighter more difficult? Very tough to tell it was snowy and I really didn't go over like 30-35 mph on the roads, was taking it really slow.

On one hand, a d60 is the best f250 is the best to modify for the bush. but on the other hand should a rare option truck be kept original? Regardless, this is a beauty. And similar to the scope of my project. I enjoy all your project updates. Thanks!

Did they trucks have hub caps? I know I’ve seen the high boys with a crown kinda logo in the center. Looks good!

Yes factory correct would be silver dog dish caps, its just my preference to leave it "poverty" style. Thank you!

I've been thinking about doing a white wheel on my 73 highboy. What is the actual part # that you found on wheel smiths site? I'm really interested in finding a set with the 17x10 with that 4.5" backspace.

Hi Doug, these are their smoothie wheels. They don't actually list part numbers or prices as all their wheels are made to order. I would give them a call and just tell them what you are looking for and they can help you out. You can see on these they are 4.5, if you want them tucked more than just add back spacing as needed, 5.0, 5.5, I wouldn't go 6, also a 73 has different axles up front, I am not sure how that would compare to a Dana 60 front. Hope this helps.

It does help, thank you! I do have a Dana 60 on the front of mine. Not the snow fighter but it's a 60. The 4.5 backspace is what I need since I'm running 40x13.5xR17 on it now. Currently have a old school slot wheel which looks great but I like to change it up and go back and forth.

Cool, the 78/79 king pins are a 69.5 +-.25 middle wheel spacing if that helps and good luck!@@dougconklin3357

You have any numbers for backspacing and offset? Wanna get some wheels for my 79 bronco, don't want too much wheel poke and also don't want to rub!

Backspacing on these ones is 4.5 and they stick out the wheel wells about 1.5" or so? May not be as much on a bronco with a dana 44. If you want a closer fit to the wells I would go 5.5. No rub at all with these either and plenty of clearance inside, I could stack wheel weights without any caliper clearance issues.

Its interesting ford put a dana 60 on a F250. I thought dana 60s were used in F350s and other 1 ton trucks
