30 yrs old. I remember telling all my friends at the roller rink “you have to get this album, her name is Britney Spears” and immediately after the wave came. This was such an amazing time. These beats/rythyms don’t really exist anymore, they were literally addictive. These pop stars that people now love to joke about were actually much more real artists (imo) than a lot of what we see today. I loved this era so much, but I’m sure every generation says that.

Back when Xtina had no control over her career, she was groomed to be another pop princess who would rival her contemporaries at that time. To be honest, and I know most people would disagree with me on this, sometimes I wished that Christina remained this way, singing radio-friendly pop songs accompanied with excellent choreography, coz honestly Xtina can dance & she knows how to dance! she just didn't really put much focus and attention on her choreography in the succeeding years of her career. Had she done it, perhaps she remained relevant & really attained "true" Icon status up to now. Nevertheless, I'm still glad that I was able to witness this phase of her career.
