My man is one of the best talkers on gangs and gang violence. He knows it ain’t black and white and I feel like he understands the situation many of us are going through. Big up to my man for real saving the yutes, showing them what’s right before it is to late.

As a Bigman with a 21 y/o son , seeing the pressure s on the youths today scares me ! I ve made something of myself so my kids don’t have to grow up how I did . Broken home , living on benefits seeing madness from young age . Keep up the message B , if it saves just a few of these kids from Road life it’s 💯! As you grow you realise , with hard work good peeps around you life is a gift , don’t waste it ! Keep it real or keep it moving

Time to use the platform to break down the “other side” mentality Bobby. I really respect how you’re using your platform and the progression you’ve shown in your own life. The other side and opp mentality is killing our children and it defo needs a drastic change. We are one people I don’t care if you’re from Edmonton or Peckham. No need to die for these neighbourhoods that we don’t own. Hov said it best “Please don’t die over the neighbourhood that your mama renting.” “Take your drug money and buy the neighbourhood that’s how you rinse it.”

@thanors24 жыл бұрын
One thing that alot of drill music don't talk about is how hard it is to identify oops. Like you said just because someone throwing gang signs or hang round now ur opp. It sounds fun running down a opp but reality is different alot of those kids don't understand that. Your basically running around hunting for someone you don't know for postcode or a gang. That's straight up lame, a real man don't need violence or a gang to feel good. Plus most gang members were bullied or forced into the gang,yet act like bad man or gang is family. Who the hell calls ppl who beat you up or force you to be family?
@watchonjar4 жыл бұрын
@Happy Thanos Ive never been in this life but beeing in London you end up going to school with a lot of these guys and it seems that a lot of them just get sucked into it when they are too young and dumb to know how pointless it is. Then when they are old enough to start there life, like 18 19 etc, they have made descions that make them feel that this road stuff is the only route for them. Plus at that point all thier friends are in this life, all the girls they move to probably respect them for bein in the life, all the respect they have from anyone was probably from being in this life and all the money they have ever made was from the life. Their whole world for a long time in their minds was in a gang. So I think a lot of them just dont see that there is a way out. Its pretty fucked when you add onto it that for a lot of these guys, their parents and grand parents came over from really poor countries to give them a way better life then they had back in their home countries and they throw it away senselessly.
@thanors24 жыл бұрын
@Jon Doe That's my point, it's all a lie about back your bro etc don't get me wrong some guys do just get caught up in gangs but most gangs are fake. I just think it's mad how all the gangs act like they some family,yet kill or hurt their own members.

I was close you know, the first friends I ever made were in primary school, knew them ever since reception and nursery, used to be chill kids, none of that gangbanging stuff, we used to play computer games and read Asterix, played with Gogos, RuneScape and all of that stuff but around year 5-6 one of them became friends with this roadman/chav called "Rory" eventually my entire group of friends got to know him, guy would often be sitting around the local park with a few of his friends and he was like 15 probably dropped out of school, my friends would always go there to hang out with him to look "cool" he'd ask for random gifts from the stuff we brought to school (Gogos, Matchbox cards etc etc) and in return he'd be "protecting us". Anyways one day we're hanging out with him and a crowd of older kids with cricket bats are quickly coming towards us (him probably) and the next thing we know this guy and his friends dust as fast as they can, so we run as well, one of my friends lived in one of those tower blocks with those metal buzzer doors nearby, so we run there, he gets the door open and we go in, shortly after 2 of them ran up, shook the door hard and kicked it a few times throwing up signs. They ran off shortly after, safe to say we learnt our lesson lol. Never tried to make that sort of friendship again. Years later and most of us are in uni. I doubt those kids would've killed us or something but still, things could've gone a lot differently.

When your young your dumb , when your older you realise how stupid it is to think your going to commit serious violence or even an M over a phone or chain that’s worth a few hundred. It’s not the money but your ego been hurt. So your willing to risk 10-15 years in Pen just because your feelings are hurt. Forget about being robbed , in life your going to get your feelings hurt from time to time you cannot resort to violence every time that happens. That a big reason why a lot of yute can’t get into good jobs because there egos are too big that they can’t take simple instructions , they think I ain’t taking orders from some p****. Can’t separate road from the work environment. Took me getting fired from a few jobs when I went legit to learn how to be calm & not take everything as an insult. Being on road you forget how normal people behave basically 99% of the population. Yet you think that they are abnormal. But killing someone because there from next postcode is normal behaviour.

All I’m saying is you can only associate with what’s in front of you. If you were to have posh friends, you’d live in the posh area the first place. If you’re gonna have new friends you still gotta hang out with your old friends to meet new people. You can’t just meet and greet random people. School and college is the way to make friends (that’s associating what’s in front of you). My mum might wanna know who my friends are but I’m not inviting them over because she might not like how we behave/speak to each other. I can only associate what’s in front of me
@freespeak91444 жыл бұрын
Hang around with the middle ground guys. You don’t need to hang around with the geekiest/ nerds etc just the cool guys - I’m 27 and looking back at the guys from school, the middle ground guys are the most successful. Can socialise, have jokes etc while still not feeling like a weirdo. If the geek thing is who you are naturally cus you’re really smart, believe me it’ll take you far in the future if you don’t fight against the whole image of being a geek
@mariocassar41354 жыл бұрын
You need to widen your network , you need to get into stuff that is not associated with road. Everyone has some kinda legit passion other than road there’s no reason why you can’t pursue whatever it is, even if it means you have to start at the bottom in a job in an industry that interests you , once you seriously decide to want to make a change in your life there’s plenty of avenues , you might get some rejections but eventually doors will open up just need to get your foot in. I got fired from more than a few jobs when I was younger because I took my roadman attitude into work environment , took a little time to realise that you can’t resort to violence when things don’t go your way & you get frustrated but don’t know how to handle the situation. If someone told me I’d be wearing suits & tie and dealing with top white corporate people at 18-20 I would have thought they were smoking crack. I couldn’t even talk without cursing / slang. I still live in my hood where I grew up & still have friends on road & find I drift back and forth on how I talk depending on who I’m with. When someone cuts me up in traffic my 1st reaction isn’t to get out and buss his head open with steering lock , is it because I gone soft no it’s because I’m not as stupid as I once was.

Mario Cassar I’m not on road but I have some friends on road. Again, if I’m gonna make new friends I still have to go out with old friends. Meeting new people takes years. I can’t just casually meet new people by myself. School and work is where you can meet people. But going to an event by yourself is fuckery
@mariocassar41354 жыл бұрын
RH /Hutntz yeah I know and the type of events I like I gotta to roll with my crew from the hood , but go join a boxing club , gym. You will meet people from all walks of life , your not going to gel with everyone but there’s some good people out there. Even I find it tough to mix with people who I think are too soft. For business I have to deal with anybody it’s not a case if I like them personally or agree on how they live there lives. Go look into photography groups , people who into film making. How do you think people like rapman and other black people in media get there starts. Believe me the hood is like a small bubble there’s a huge world out here that we ignore.
