It's quite affordable around wave 5/6 on a 10 wave game, as medic doesn't need to upgrade for the 401/Killerwatt build. You only need it when large zeds mass up anyway. =D

Ikr? Husk Cannon was a sign that Firebug was going to have some use against Big Zeds, but they nerfed that to absolute shit. I will be so fucking *SHOCKED* if they actually leave this weapon alone. Because after all the buffs it and Survivalist got, nerfing the Helios Rifle will simply have fans continue doing shit memes focused on mocking both perks.

I was testing the Helios a rifle against a Scrake. I think the best way of doing it is to enrage the Scrake, then stumble it back with Heat Wave, then pump orbs into its face as it panics and walks towards you. If needed, bash it right when the panic ends and pump even more into it. I like the Helios Rifle. It's fun.

I probably won't make a video about this as most of the changes were just self explanatory linear buffs. Shrapnel is a unique change however which gives firebug a non chaotic level 15 skill to choose. I'm hoping the changes of this update allow firebugs to synergise a bit better with ballistic perks.

Maybe carry around the Helios with a caulk n burn? I don't think you can carry the flamethrower with it, and having the Helios and the spitfires/mac10 is kind of redundant.

I've tested it, you can in-fact carry a Flamethrower with the Helios.

You can carry flamethrower. However I use Helios T4, Mac 10 T4 and a single spitfire T3. The helios is great to synergise with ballistic perks in a non hectic way, and this is now possible using mac 10 and shrapnel changes. Flame weapons are quite chaotic, however if you're laning with a demo you may consider microwave gun.

since the hemoglobin makes incap increase 50% faster, can you knock a fp out of rage into emp panic with the killerwatt? im thinking that would be a good support setup with the increased medic skill on surv

marian rosca Every weapon is cheesiness then, by your own logic. The reason these weapons are good is because they offer a useful spot in the meta and have downsides that make them more or less balanced. For instance, while the Helios Rifle is good against FPs, trash and (to an extent) Scrakes aren't the gun's strong suit. While the Killawatt offers a powerful EMP, its reload is relatively slow and, if you choose to use the charged attack, your movement is incredibly limited.

The Killerwatt offers an alternate incap weapon other than the freezethrower for perks to offperk (for example medics). And Helios is a "shoot the head" weapon idk what you mean. It targets head health and kills with a clean decap. It's niche because it can deal with Fleshpounds without panicking them, which is desirable for teams composed out of mainly ballistic perks (as fire panic animations are quite unpredictable and difficult to headtrace, unlike the Fleshpounds rage animation which players can learn and practice on test maps). This isn't cheesing at all if you ask me.
