After the assassination of Reinhard Heidreich the Germans went on a rampage against the Czechs killing hundreds of people in revenge killings. It was this event in which the allies stopped assassination attempts on top ranking Nazis because the civilians would pay a heavy price in retaliation.

I am German. Georg Elser was a true Hero to the German people. Because he proofed that a single ordinary individual without any assistance can resist tyranny and change the course of history by his own wits and courage. In opposition to Stauffenberg Elser did not participate in the war of aggresion and Elser was tortured by his captors who let him alive because they did not really believe that he acted alone. In Opposition to Stauffenberg Georg Elser legacy was not credited aftee WW2 even by his own hometown and family because for decades until the war generation paused mostly away because Georg Elsers courage shamed nearly all other Germans because he was so close of killing Hitler and prooved that everybody had a chance to resist which most of my grandparents generation never dare to think about

What I liked about "Valkyrie" is the movie pointed out that killing Hitler was one thing but it was also necessary to have a plan in place to put in a new government right away. Not really, his existence as indisputable Wehrmacht Commander-in-Chief ensured German forces kept on fighting till the very end, adding perhaps one or two more years of the war with Allies and Soviets forces literally have to fight all the way to the Rhine and Berlin, costing them hundreds of thousands casualties, solely because the German leader himself that zero qualm of sacrificing everything to make their victory as costly and bloody as possible, and no one else in Germany could change his strategy otherwise.

Ironic how the best Wolfenstein games (in my opinion, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, The New Order+The Old Blood, and maybe even 2009) actually don't have you meeting, let alone fighting, the guy. Oh, well, at least there's the Brutal Wolfenstein 3D and Blade of Agony fan mods. Was expecting some clips of Justice League's "The Savage Time", from which he was temporarily overthrown and cryo'd by Vandal Savage, but I sure didn't expect Hey Arnold! to appear here. 6:30: Can a bowling pin even do that?! You know, if I were given license to do a "take care of Hitler" time travelling/Multiversal storyline, I'd rather make it a surprisingly kinder and benevolent take. Imagine an undercover operative tasked in becoming his true best friend from childhood to the interbellum years, which may lead to an alternate iteration where he became a happy and philanthropic painter (think the "Golden Ending" for Titanic: Adventure Out of Time) and maybe even becoming an occasional side character (and hopefully even ensemble darkhorse character) when friends of said operative visit this better world in certain other story arcs; he could be one who joyously serves out really good homemade coffee and sausages, the guy.

Great Abe Simpson begining, this secures how awesome these videos start. I recall reading an article on why Vice Yamamoto Isoroku was discovered, and fundamentally killed, because of how punctual he was, which was a stark contrast too Adolf Hitler, which he procrastinated. Great as usual, never a dull moment, continue your best. Take care, and all the best.

I'm not buying the idea that Hitler's decicisions were bordering on bonkers. It's in the victor's interest to paint their enemy as evil, stupid and mad. Napoleon wasn't short either. He was slightly above average height, around 1,69 m, it is believed.

Cruise was foot too short to look like Von Stauffenbegg. The German movie is a much better version.

I’m disappointed you didn’t use any scenes from the show Danger 5. Every briefing the team got ended with “and for God’s sake kill Hitler!” And every episode ended with Hitler escaping by diving through a window.

Personally I think AH wasn't all that insane, just VERY evil and outright dumb/incompetent. Let's not dismiss evil as being the result of insanity instead of resulting from other things, such as an evil ideology. It should also be mentioned that AH's generals weren't exactly the best military leaders themselves and that dismissing AH as insane kind of makes it sound like he isn't responsible for the evil actions he did/ordered.
