This band become more relevant with every album..................why is nobody else angry about our sad world and the shit we allow to happen, and communicating it in a way which somehow manages to fill the listener with ecstatic delight??!! Lovely, Lovely KJ....never stop!

Awesome album. Have been into KJ since their first album, but they just keep getting better and better, and heavier and heavier - and more angry at corporate greed and corruption, environmental degradation and the consumerist sheep-like masses who allow this to happen. Geordie Walker has got to be the most under-rated yet inventive guitarists in the world; he just keeps producing these powerful, yet melancholy or sinister riffs. As soon as this track starts, it is instantly recognisible as Geordie's guitar chiming out. The last 4 albums (Hosannas, Absolute Dissent, 2012 and now this) are, I reckon, Killing Joke's best albums.

+Pete Dorey Agreed...especially about Geordie's awesome riffs. Incredible how the band keep getting stronger....though I still love the early albums as well

Is freedom so great to fight for food Compete for shelter, who is the top dog Is the winter of humankind What has become of us, what made us blind After disclosure comes, man takes his rightful place Amongst the stars, the celestial barge awaits One by one, we embark, to the sun behind the sun Cast off, steer straight, into the unknown I stride in fury and forgetfulness Towards a house of hate, and death Oh, how lonely, is the earth As greed and blood and weapons curse To every man a hope above To every child a table of love Between our lips are, cities unbuilt One law to follow, do what you will After disclosure comes, man takes his rightful place Amongst the stars, the celestial barge awaits One by one, we embark, to the sun behind the sun Cast off, steer straight, into the unknown After disclosure comes, man takes his rightful place Amongst the stars, the celestial barge awaits One by one, we embark, to the sun behind the sun Cast off, steer straight, into the unknown.

The Killing Joke agenda, makes you think when another album is released. They don't want to hit you in the face once, they want to do it their way, and show us all with every single release they give us, the reason they get better and better is, they were magnificent from the 1st record, they had an agenda, make you think, make you feel, and basically make you realise what is going on, with a very dark magnificent brooding overture of bombastic music, and tell us all, well, politics ain't gonna fix it, maybe we can with our musical message. This band are a total one off, no one on this earth sounds like Killing Joke, they are the soundtrack to the apocalypse.
