One of KJ's best ever songs, yet often forgotten and generally unknown. Geordie's riffs and Jaz's vocals, along with the throbbing bass and almost tribal drumming, are bloody amazing.

Agree! Following the mighty Killing Joke since 1982. I love Darkthrone and Blut Aus Nord are amazing and can create a terrifying atmosphere like on The Work Which Transforms God. But you forgot my other second all time fave - Godflesh. Love them equally as KJ and with their bleak atmosphere they're even the heaviest band ever for me. After all these years this song still stirs something ethereal and hypnotic in me that very few songs have ever done; perhaps its the croon of Geordie’s beautiful guitar riff slipping in and out of the rhythm and bass, and the hailing voice of Jazz in these clarion call lyrics…I don’t know… sort of like a powerful dream that evokes indescribable emotions that you can’t shake off and that stick with you through the glaring reality of the next day. Mysterious!

I just discovered this belter of a song yesterday exactly the same month this single was released 40 Bloody years ago. Now that is one hell of a coincidence.😎

Теперь "A new day",-одна из моих любимых песен🤘🤘👍

I had never had given this song the chance it deserved. I Just heard this song yesterday and it has quickly become one of my favorite songs by them. Fitting for this “2 weeks” period going into 2022.

There's a Killing Joke song for every occasion, if it's two weeks in a bunker next I know what music selection I'll have on hand as I remain on the surface. I'll be enjoying what remains of life regardless. Let's hope for a New Day and live it through. : )
