I would like to see Doug and Randy give a farm history and tell about the old days when they had off farm jobs and had hogs. What happened that they were able to expand and grow to what they are today.

JD 70, brings back some memories there. Traded in a 1948 JD G for a 1953 70 with power steering. Oh what a nice machine. Then came a 1955 model 70 and another three bottom JD trailer plow. We now could plow with six total bottoms in our Miami Clay Loam which had to all get done within ten days every Spring. No more plowing all Day and nearly all night, major progress. Enjoy every single Video. Thank You. H.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Interesting how you kill those black beans before harvesting. Interesting process working with those beans. Sorry you had to rewire the trailer you had fixed. You knew what needed to be done and that is what counts. Nice job guys. Your big tanks will look nice all painted up again. Glad you are doing that. Will be money well spent I believe. Nice going. Eric you enjoy your hunting trip. Beautiful country up there. Good hunting. Thanks for everything Chet. You all take care. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

Love your videos. Here is a tip: when you are wearing gloves to handle chemicals, you should fold the last inch of your gloves. Chemicals get caught in the fold and won't touch your arm, if they run down the gloves. Greetings from Germany!

As a kid growing up, we had a hand crank corn sheller for feeding the chickens. Dad told us to save the cobs and especially the white ones and take them to the out house. When using the outhouse, we finished our job sitting there, we used a brown cob first and then used a white on to see if we needed another brown one !!!

So enjoy Dougo talking about the past and what he did and experienced. From an old Minnesota farmer here that could be Dougos dad that made things work because we didn't have funds to buy new. I do hope you did not scrap the corn sheller. We had an Owatonna swather in the middle 70's. I live only 18 miles to where your swather was made.

Makes total sense in what you are doing and is necessary for optimal harvest quality. Another thing I would look at doing for preventative breakdowns since harvesting black beans is so wearing on ware points due to the amount of dirt is take a water tank to the field to rinse out the grain tank to prevent buildup.
