I'd imagine he finds out via tags. He probably searches their tag name in twitch. Like sometimes I'll see someone I killed with TTV in their name and I'll go talk shit in their chat. Lol

The kill feed is at the end. Tells you everyone you killed and if he has the tags they also say it. And if he dies to them it says it.

Players have dog tags, after you kill them you can loot their dog tag off their body. Dog tags have their name on them/who killed them/what weapon killed them.
