We have never messed with the 30 series in the woods 40's thru 60's we had piles of them. Ran them Pioneers for a good couple decades. It bumbed us out when Pioneer went cheap and we went to Husqvarna. I miss the old Pioneers. The P51 was my favorite. They had the torque.

Hey Harvy, love the content and the delivery of it all. Some bout your vids that just left me feeling good after watching them. I finally got it figured out. You remind me of my very good ill ld friend that passed on a few years ago. He was much like you. Want to share what he knew and I was better and more educated when I left, and had direction of what I was questioning. So thank for the vids they bring back find memories of my friend too. This will be one of the greatest axebuilds on KZbin. I'm looking so forward to the forging video. You are are great guy and an impressive person. Thanks again and all the best from Germany, Maximilian.

I’m going to try and get it and find the parts to rebuild it for him he loved that saw and I can see it on his face he don’t like the new styles of saws. Keep the Pioneer videos coming buddy love to see them. Have a good day

Wow Harv - you must be clairvoyant? I just said to Buckin that of my 4 axes the Fiskars is the best splitter for our Irish timber ( at least in my hands)... But I hate the handle . Will follow this project with interest. Keep up the good work - I enjoy having you in my day!

That was very wise and true in more ways than one . Everyone has that friend o I can do that no problem why pay someone else and in return you get a steaming pile of s*#! and a well it looked easy but I had a few issues lol 🤣 . I see it in my world all the time to people think jetting a carb is simple and just use what ever drill bit they have or what kit they got or a how to video they watched and your right every once in a while it works out but most of the time it doesn't and then I'm stuck trying to figure out what was done working backwards to work forward lol . Your a very kind and wise man that's why I always listen and learn experience talks for itself . Keep up the awesome videos my friend 👍🔧🔩

That fiskars splitting axe is the best thing going. It light enough to have good speed in the swing and the weight is all in the head to really push that profile through the toughest logs.

Hey Harv : FYI- I have a factory origional untouched huski 371xp I was servicing, bought in 1999.. Out of curiosity from my race bike building days I walked the inch pound torque value uphill to 61 inch pounds factory spec until there was bolt movement.. Much better method then the old t handle ..

Did you ever hear Harvey, there's no replacement for displacement! Have at that p38 sir and see what she'll do for you. As in life, it's a balancing act between what you want and what you can have with pushing the smaller cc motors, more top end vs more torque and what about midrange or wide useable powerband or a narrow peaky powerband. Can't wait to see what happens next. Ps. I'm a motocross guy too and I'm picking up what you're laying down.👍

I bet all my money on the 041 stihl...stock it has more hp and torque than all those saws...look it up....last pioneer I owned couldn't get the carb right and either junked it or gave it away...if it don't crank, it don't cut wood...my old stihl filled up bunches of trucks. Using a old John Deer skid steer or a big stick loader...also a 801 Ford with a boom and chain....I will wait patiently on your $60 041 to makes it's appearance , in your little trial-by-fire....and that is the rest of the story..."good day!"
