I remember as a kid at Bolton Valley when bumps like this would form I'd feel like they were as big as me. This looks like a really fun day!

Back in the day 80”s before short wide skis, we used to ski the tops where the snow was, there were zipper line swigglers of course but the best carved turns.

We were there this past week. The conditions were surprisingly good for December (not too much ice). We bought a property on the mountain and I can’t wait to build!

Love mogul skiing. Tough on the legs ( especially when hungover 😂) bet way more fun then groomed runs most of the time. And you have plenty of platforms to try new airs etc, before you attempt then on bigger ramps

Our last day last year was the weekend before this - we only got in a few runs. though so fun..

Ah, springtime in the bumps at Killington. Buckle on yer yellow Nordica Slaloms and smear silver wax on yer K2 Winter Heats. The snow is slow and forgiving--more time to react, and if you don't, you won't get launched into orbit.

It amazes me that people take the opportunity and challenge that these jumps have to offer to only ski down them like zombies.

Well, that's some excellent mogul technique, but really, could these conditions be any worse? I guess I am a spoiled for high altitude conditions here in lovely Colorado.

Where the boarders at? Everyone knows boards are better in the bumps.
@jaychip12 жыл бұрын
Nobody knows that. Skis are far superior in the bumps.

@@jaychip1 I dunno, I'm an ace at both sports and always find I have a faster time when I'm on my board for bumps. Think about the physics of both sports long enough, and you'll see why
@johnnywishbone.2 жыл бұрын
@@CurriedBat you're completely wrong. 99% boarders can't handle the bumps and will ruin the snow on them. moguls are for the skiers. everyone knows that.
@jaychip1 Жыл бұрын
@BAtkinson yes, you have a huge mechanical advantage on a board vs skis. Wrench v nut. But you must keep your weight completely on your boot bottoms in the bumps. Can't do that on a board. You do you, ace.
@CurriedBat Жыл бұрын
Hmmm the powder today... boards were skipping the moguls and I found I was able to skip 2 or 3 moguls with how much powder there was. Twas a good day ski or board.
