20:50 Maybe they fixed it so they removed the flash player settings. The client most likely has the textures and stuff preloaded so it won't cause lag. edit: Maybe they will add new options in settings to do that. There are many possibilities. The client is in beta. Things will change. Just give your feedback and hopefully, they will do something with it :) edit2: They also said this client is short term solution and they plan to port this game to a new engine which would solve many things. You have to understand that flash player has lots of limitations and issues. With the new engine, there are so many things they could do; make x64 version, remove the FPS limit, better graphics and effects, more performance, etc. If I still played this game I would be hyped :D

they didn't remove the flash player, it is still there, if they do they have to rewrite the whole game again, which bigpoint will never do.

I agree. On the test server, you should have everything maxed out. Doesn't make any sense why you shouldn't have. edit: I change my mind. There should be two options. One is to start completely from scratch and one where you have everything maxed out. You should also be able to change between them.

I tried to download that client and I am very happy with performance improvements. The game is rendered using OpenGL API instead of flash player and it runs very smoothly. I set graphics to max. settings at 1440p resolution and I have 56 - 60 FPS on opened cubikon with 7 players shooting it. On flash player I used to have below 30 FPS on my I9-9900KS and 1080 Ti system. There are still some improvements to be done, but finally after 14 years they significantly improved the in game performance. That does not mean that I will continue playing it :D

are ou sure its not flash based? because i had problems with flash with browser version (my gpu acts like it dying, lots of flickering etc.) and now i just tested this client and i have same problems.

@@schumbo8324 yes, I am pretty sure it is not flash based, because I have software for measuring performance and it detected OpenGL rendering API. If you are experiencing flickering with browser version and with client as well, then you might have issues with your graphics card / displaying device.

Stop looking on the MEM. It's pointless. This client doesn't have the same issues as a browser. Won't go to the details (unless someone wants); but look, do you think only 300 to 1000 MB of your RAM is used when playing CSGO, CoD or just anything else? Of course not! I think you will no longer need to reload the game when you get high MEM. Maybe you won't even hit that much from now on.

I feel this is a stopgap solution. What they really need to do is port the game to unrealengine (or other engine), which I think they stated they were planning to do soon™. This is exactly what they did with seafight.
