The struggle of unlocking the M4 revolver was mitigated by myself and many others in a pistol only custom lobby by turning the whole game into a big laugh of a match. The map had a setup of two decent sized areas with a long gantry bridge connecting them but both teams had bogged down in those room, taking potshots at each other cause no one would leave the rooms, so a stalemate ensued. As the time ticked by, no moves or even shots were made by either side, with made both rather....... complacent. I decided it was time to end mini cold war and sprinted like a madman across the gantry, holding fire till I got juuuust outside their room and dropped the two 'guards' before basically pulling a John Wick before it was ever a thing and killed the whole surprised team as no one had really been watching and figure it was lucky shots. I ran back to let them spawn as my team just watched, some laughing, at the psycho that wiped a team with a pistol. The excitement bubbled down and the stalemate resumed......... until did the same rush, screaming like a mad Scotsman now, and wiped them again before heading back with another wipe. Again, the stalemate resumed....... till I rushed AGAIN, this time I killed three before I was killed but only in a downed state (you could be revived but the classes weren't allowed for speed sake of matches). So, I proceeded to become the french knight from Holy Grail, tossing strange insults at the enemy that had them dying with laughter till one mercy killed me. I respawned to more laughter from my team before I instantly went for a fourth charge, ending after the enemy had shifted to let me in and I was cut down by the whole team, my french knight insults resuming as I laid there bleeding, laughter heard from both sides before death. My respawn came with a new plan: a flanking route that was usually covered was now unguarded due to my one man charges. So, I charged in and went down again, being abit louder now as my team slipped into the flank route and killed them all. Thus, the traumatic match continued for the enemy team, now getting paranoid of my charges, wondering if my team would flank again as they shifted again to better man it. Now the front was weakened and my respawn was a charge of my whole team overwhelming the two front guards and the rest unaware of the new tactic. The poor enemy team was genuinely going mad with the constant shifts in tactics that kept getting them killed now, them finally losing after they attempted a charge but was met by my team at the front. They don't make games like this anymore.

STA3 LMG - Most inaccurate gun in history, but deadly if you knew how to use it. Awesome sound on it too and it was changed for Killzone 3, but still good.

I loved the StA-3 just because of its obvious inspiration. Back when I played Killzone almost 20 years ago, that was the weapon I had always picked up when first seen.

The StA - 3 is not that inaccurate, in my experience. Sure you won't be able to use long range suppression with this unless it's mounted on a tripod, but mid to close range and you're dominating. I think the reason the Helghast could use the StA - 3 well, regardlesss of distance, is because of the fact their goggles have dynamic HUDs and advanced optical sensors, making aiming a trivial issue.

Yeah I like the hellghast weapons that focus on helical magazines and machine gun style feed tray covers. With a bit of nazi German weapon design sprinkled over it The Vektans on the other hand have guns that feel like futuristic versions of modern American military weapons which is also cool. Like the M82 assault rifle being quite literally a bullpup M16

Killzone 2 graphic is pretty amazing for its time and with ps3 performance. This video does bring back good old memories. I remember that I spent hours everyday collecting trophies and playing multiplayer for months.

Imagine this aesthetic but its a big multiplayer game like battlefield. I honestly dont know why the Battlefield series chooses to be so unrealistic in terms of gameplay but still maintains to be about a real-world historical period. If EA and Battlefield want to go run and gun with a bunch of vehicles they should do it in a universe like Killzone or Warhammer.

And if it is possible, please allow the player to customized their own weapons(gun accessories: suppressors, scopes, grip, extended mag, laser, grenade launcher)/gears(body armored, perks, vanguard like in mercenary). Add some vehicles to drive(like the one from Killzone Liberation). Tank, hovercraft, buggy, mech/exo, dropship/vtol gunship apc, jet-fighter for both side(make it look more practical and function like a real vehicles). Also, talking about guns. I expect they redesigned everything. Make it looks more cool(modern) and practical design both for ISA and Helghast. For example, like last round bolt hold open and slap the bolt release. Have one round in the chambered. Tactical reload. PS: If I have to choose between ISA or Helghast gun. I still prefer ISA. Why? Because most of ISA small arms(if not everything) are more practical(I prefer conventional design over bullpup) use than helical magazine design from the Helghast. The only Helghast weapons that I like the most would be STA3(MG42), STA14(M14/FAL), STA-2(HK69/79) Grenade Pistol, VC8 Shotgun Pistol.

The M82 is like a Mixed Hybrid of the FNC Carbine, SA-80 and the M4. Almost all guns are a mix of Cold War/Modern Day assets. But the recoil is slightly off on Medium caliber rifles.

This game has one of the best AIs in fps games since the servers are dead, I play AI mode and let me tell ya. They're not brain dead robotic bots they're hardcore player like! I get an average 20 kills and 10 deaths ratio whenever I play it!

The guns in this game are meek, the reload times will get you killed and the enemies are bullet sponges and are aggressive as hell, I did well up until the assault on the palace levels where I died like 34x lol but alot of those is of course me being stubborn and not taking cover or trying to pull headshots with the pistol as a platoon of helghast spray me lol

It's missing some filters. Those filters made the game look better than it really was. This way it looks mediocre, even for 2009 standards. Crysis on PC looked much better than this. In any case, my only real pet peeve with KZ2 was the gunplay, it felt clunky. KZ3 is much better, specially if played with the PS Move.

Killzone viewmodel anims always had pretty good posing and concepts but the motion was very mediocre. The guns are just way too bouncy and weightless which hurts the feel of the combat since you are supposed to be a heavy duty soldier. This was something I don't think they ever quite understood how to get right, and by the fifth (and last) game in the series the guns were still very bouncy.
