Nah this was a big deal at the time if anyone remembers, this and battlefield 2/3, people said the graphics were cutting edge and they were. The thing is the cpu and gpu couldn't handle the engine and game too well so the antialising is super low and textures are like shit. Obviously the ps4 could run this a lot sharper, and I'm confused as to why they didn't release this on PC, this would stack up to modern titles with upscaling lol

The PS3's CPU is the reason why the game looked so good. If Sony kept the Cell Processor & just give it more ram & a better GPU. it could already be PS5 level of graphics. But Sony dropped it because too many devs complained about it being too complicated.

@Nicholas Marashio Yeah in 3 a handful of ISA troops literally defeated the whole Helghast army. I like the beginning but as the story progresses its a bit too much. Even though Killzone 2 doesnt have those sick melee takedowns, its story is better. The battles in Killzone 2 are soo good.

Back in the days when games were supposed to bring out strong emotions, to feel, at least a bit how's like to be brave, to feel despair, enthuziasm, brotherhood etc. Even the music at the start of the game says a lot about the philosophy behind game development years ago. I miss that kind of passion, to achieve through a game what only extremly good movies were able to achieve.

Ah yes, Killzone split screen. I played it with my brother when I was young, we dint even bother that the split screen was so small, and we also had a small tv back then. I also happen to find a glitch, where you repeatedly jump on this spaceship part where you're not supposed to be able to get to, and I somehow got in. Only to fall into the void

This was part of my childhood but seeing this back again is kinda off, because I never paid attention to the story and the writing is not great, the editing and pace are going a 100 kilometers an hour and don't leave time for anything to happen or make sense. Like the ending- they save earth, but kill god knows how many people, the characters realize this and then it immediately jumps to the credits with high energy music like wtf and it's unfortunately something that happens throughout the whole game also the sound mixing is really weird but like the design of everything, the god damn art direction: spaceships, sound design, armor, characters, weapons and effects are pretty great! If there's something I remember about this game are the fucking costumes, the weapons and ships I do wish the story was better fleshed tho :'/

No, they managed to save Earth but the planet Helghan was basically annihilated. Killzone Shadowfall picks up some years after these events, where the remaining survivors are given some land on the ISA planet, the same planet the Helghans tried to invade in Killzone 1

You should be able to turn off the motion controls in the menu, Killzone 3 lets you do this if you don't have a six axis controller, if I remember correctly Killzone 2 doesn't so you need a six axis controller for that game.
