hello Julia, i am inspired to do a coil pot or bowl after seeing yours it looks very nice to me. those cut square pots are so different and of a good size to display. all of your hand building is pleasing and i am happy you tube has you to show us your talent.

Thankyou for your kind words Bill, I really appreciate them. Good luck with your coil pot I find rolling coils very therapeutic 😊

Love them all, but the square vases and oreos are my fave! Oh and the coil bowl. If you put saran wrap in the wood bowl you can use it over and over without ruining it.

Thankyou so much for your kind comments Michelle. That is a good idea, I am not a big fan of using saran wrap so will maybe make a bisque mold of the back and front of the bowl and use those, although they will be a little smaller once fired 😊

Greetings from a very cold winters evening in NZ, currently sitting at just 3 degrees C so should be another white frost in the morning with the promise of a clear sunny day. Brilliant pieces Julia, lovely to see you back with another video, inspirational as always. The first coil bowl is brilliant, the two different colours of buff clay add to its character. Finally gotten around to getting my kiln set up, had the sparkie in yesterday to run new wiring to the garage so I ran a conditioning cycle yesterday and today I’m very happily doing my first bisque firing, exciting times and can’t wait for tomorrow to see how it turns out.

@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 thanks Julia, got the first bisque load out this evening and reloaded ready to kick off again in the morning, just managed to pack all my pieces in, downside of making plates is the amount of space they take up. I’ll certainly send you some pics, just not sure the best way to send them, maybe Pinterest and send you a link. Keep up the good work. De.
