LOVE that pink glaze bottle!! Wowza!! Can’t wait to see what you put on it! As for the first vase with the coils of clay, I know you expected colour but I thought it looks pretty cool as is! Glaze may take away form all that gorgeous detail. Just an idea. Great kiln opening!!

I was surprised that all of those pink glazes behaved themselves together. I honestly didn't know if the concept would work or be a hot mess. I may have to live with the coil pot, I think it's going to be hard to get enough glaze to stick to it in a retire.

Great job on your Frozen Ponds. So glad they turned out. It's a very versatile technique and will work with many glazes as long as you have Running Hot Chowder. Kathy

And great job on the frozen pond effect! It’s soo cool and so much fun!! RHC is such an awesome glaze!

I am really interested to try RHC with some other glazes. I see people using it with Seaweed and Amaco blues the most... any others you might suggest?

I loved the June purple cup at 2:46! Very nice

I like that one too. I want to try more layering options with the Chun Celadon. I think possibly a second dip of June Purple closer to the top might have been pretty too. Thanks for watching!

Hi, I have had success with putting piece in microwave-30 to 60 seconds to get warm but not HOT. First coat goes on great, and on occasion I will do it between layers with about an hour dry time between. I have found glue and hairspray to get a bit gloopy, but I know it works great for others. Nothing to lose..... Jessica

I've tried that before too. Thanks for the reminder... now I wonder if that coil pot will fit... I might have to go with the oven...

Beautiful glaze results. For the refire- teapot and vase. I'm wondering if you painted a solution of CMC over the glaze, that it may help with the glaze to adhere better. I'm a newbie and only just watched a video about the CMC. Just a thought and no expert at all. Happy potting
@threelittlepotters5 ай бұрын
I haven't had a great amount of luck using cmc that way. Mayco stroke and coats have about the same adhesion without the extra work. But I really wanted the matte look of the original glaze. I may end up with stroke and coat in the end.

Nice pieces! If I may offer a suggestion, have you considered getting a microphone? I had the volume turned all the way up and it was still hard to hear you sometimes. I really enjoyed the combos, and like watching your videos. I'm glad you glazed the 10 minute teapot! I'm still planning on doing that challenge.
@threelittlepotters5 ай бұрын
So yes, my microphone was missing this morning, and I was too excited to not open the kiln. I don't know if the dog ate it, or what happened, so yes the sound is lacking this time around. I ordered a replacement, but it will take a few days to arrive. Sigh. Let me know how the teapot challenge goes!

On those browns that didn't wow you, you could try a refire with cosmic tea dust over the brown for a little pizazz.

Hey Sarah one of the other potters on youtube (Undseth pottery? I think) uses baileys red 2 and has said she does 2 dips to get it to work. Maybe this can help you?
