Hi Linda! I apply 3 thin coats of kiln wash. It seems to last a bit longer and I don’t have to do maintenance quite as often. For the really stubborn areas of glaze spots, I’m now using a diamond grinding disc, it works wonders!

That all depends on what temperature you glaze fire to. At cone 6 for example, I may only need to do this once a year. At cone 10/11, it’s every few firings.
