Peace Hoodie..... I just want to say that this is probably my favorite interview of yours. For a few reasons. I'm from Dago. Lived in East Dago but always went to schools in The South East (Webster and Keiller). For the most part...Damus have been apart of my major influence but ...I ended up in some foster homes for a bit and ended up in O'Side. Lived in the Deep Valley. I knew A lot of the DVC brothas, even though it was never the best situation for me. The Samoans didn't really mess with me and the whole Crip side knew what it was with me. But....I knew Kilo G, he was a year younger than me. I also knew G Man, and the Pettis's. and did a lil bit of juvi time with E-Lowe, and even hung out kool with E-Ski from West Side because we went to Summit. Lived right down the street from Levicios and even scrapped with the Mexicans in Mesa. Almost got shot at Libby Lake. When that one brotha on the side speaks about being rushed by grown ass (Mexican) men we when were just kids, is factual. I went to El Camino High with some real reps of that DVC. I even hung out with some of the original young CMG's there. I've written a book of my life experiences, and my time in O'Side is a couple of chapters. Also.....I knew Joe Jap from 41NHC. We played bball together every weekend at North Park Rec. Thank you for this interview......it's given me some solid memories. Facts. 619

Oceanside in the house! I grew up in the city everything they are saying is the truth. I grew up in the mid 90s to the early 2000’s Del rio, to mlk and then El Camino. Allot of my homies were in Tre Loc then they got put on to Dvc and some went into Wsc. Dvc could have made it in any neighborhood in the USA 🇺🇸 for sure they could fight they were down with the business brave hearts I can name names, I’ll keep the names to myself if you know you know. Anyone they feuded with they took no L’s they made money 💰 they did it all. I was just a athlete because I am black and there was allot of hate in Oceanside being black whether you were a gang member or not the Mexicans and Samoans didn’t like the blacks if you stood up for yourself being black they would try to bully you. Plenty of times my homies from Tre Loc, Dvc and Wsc had my back that’s why I still have a ton of love for the homies! Great interview can’t wait to see some more of these interviews …

That's Bullshit it was all about who you hung with where you grew up... WSC & CMG had mixed members BIG CRIP & DONALD DUCC. NOW DVC majority was Black and DVB majority was Samoans but they had BLACKs, whites, and Mexicans as well CMG and WSC too even KCB or "TCB" TRI-CITY BLOODS were mostly Blacks!! So you when say Samoans Didn't like blacks 🧢 bruh it was a Banging thang not a racial thang bruh...

This was a good Conversation With Hoodie. Through the conversation, there was never an exact time frame in regards to when DVC officially started? Also, in the interview, one of the brothas stated that utillize the symbols of 30's. What's the importance of the 30's? Are those similar to cliques that the DVC neighborhood/section represents? I mean no disrespect by my question.

Peace. This Blame one but back in the day they used to call me paper thin or fresh J before that. Mostly known for being the first white emcee from the area back then. Anyway I’ll just speak on the vista part of this. Back in the late 80’s and very early 90’s postal way in vista was a black neighborhood. Almost all Oceanside crip affiliated from various sets but lived in vista. Eucalyptus was the 2nd neighborhood with a decent sized black community and heavily associated with postal way cuz we both branched off of Escondido ave, which is now civic center and one of my homies had family on both streets. Anyway the primary cat was Hbone who became part of 187 that stayed on my street. But everyone was basically affiliated but never claimed eucalyptus as a hood. I had friends from VHB but I ran with the cats from my neighborhood growing up on alestar and eucalyptus ave. Just a little fact checkin cuz this was brought to my attention. While I’m here, rest in peace to my homie gummy bear from the deep. Bless up y’all. One love

They were crips in valley before 85 way before, just had different cliccs and names , Dvc was the final end. Went to war with just about every hood in oside and came out up on the score board ,east side Larry was cripn in 77 balderama park ,Westside came out around then too, some dvcs claim 30s due to the origin of they influences .

I'm sittin here listening to this. In the beginning, you mention Chris and Ryan. I'm thinking all this started when they killed Chris's son, Rusty. So then those Samoans, went and killed that black guy who killed, Rusty. And things there went down then. Before then I remembered Chris and them, were real nice. He was all married up and shit with his girl, Fia.
