I like that they have a groundhog tartan; enjoyed seeing Rocky’s posts from Scotland. It’s a highlight of my week to see Kilts and Culture live and special posts . I am expecting a delivery of a sealskin sporran from Artisans of Scotland company.

1978 through 1981 classmate wore in high school for St. Patrick Day. We had no problems in our small town

Harris or Hebridean hose for large calves. The piper hose are a bit tight on me, but still doable. The Lewis hose, cotton hose, and others that claim to stretch a bit are uncomfortably tight on me, mostly because of the ending/binding yarn at the edge of the cuff.

My Army Special Forces Veterans and I wear our kilts in Parades, meetings, and charitable events. We are all in our 70s and have done this for years. We don't get "cat calls" at all. Mostly applause and respect.

Our Scottish American Color Guard was invited to participate with an Indigenous Peoples Group at a POW WOW. I was said our cultures have a lot in common. One member wanted to try on a beaded kilt in place of a loin cloth. He was a really big guy and I told him he didn't have enough beads.

I'm not sure why (it might be because there were 3 of us, self driving for 12 days) but OUR car was a big-ASS Mercedes SUV that didn't fit on many of the tiny paved sheep's paths, and we paid the price (blowout of the L front tire from impact with a rock, generating a 4 hour downtime waiting for a flatbed Lorry while driving from Inverness to Ft. William.

Interestingly, peaty water is quite common in Scotland, especially in rural areas where it's unlikely to be going through a major water treatment plant. I used to work at a hotel and we would go through so many towels because the white towels would become discouloured after a few washes. We switched to cream towels though to avoid that. Great tasting water though!

+USAKiltsOfficial *Concerning the Question Time **0:51:49**, I've **_yet_** to attend a Burns Night.* Being the first autist in the OMS (viz., Oriental Missionary Society) Holiness Church of North America, I've yet to order appropriate Gaelic wardrobe: A Five-Yard or Semi-Traditional in Clark Ancient (Lochcarron), with Hunting _Sporran_ to coordinate; a kilt vest and garter ties in Highland Blue; hose and Windsor in Navy. (I already have two midshirts from BlauerⓇ and MARLOW♕WHITEⓇ; Japanese Scottish is inappropriate for a Church cleric.)

Kilts in school? - ROCK IT!!! - when in college, in the 80-90's, a guy in theater periodically wore the kilt suit (tweed jacket, vest, tie, etc) - I didn't see anyone with a problem about it, most people thought it was cool, and some tried to grasp the thought - I was on the fence of thinking it was cool and trying to grasp it - fast-forward 30+ years and I own 12 kilts! - before wearing it to school, wear it out and about for a while to get used to people looking and commenting.

One of my daughters (2000s) asked me when they invented colors. She didn't think my parents had color because we watched some black and white TV when they were growing up, and all their pictures were b/w.

OK....Followed your choices for Dead/Alive Interview. Interesting choices. Scottish Rap?....like Merican Rap? Hume, Adam Smith, Burns and "Indian Peter" ( Bet you didn't see that one coming ) and Bruce Fummey all in the same room!

So with the long length double width kilt are you saying Kirk should hook up with Robert and go in on it?

I have a 2-part question. I don't use faceBook, and for the most part when I watch Kilts & Culture, I'm time-shifted, seeing it after the fact. Is there a way to leave questions somewhere in advance of your YouTUBE broadcasts to get answers during the broadcasts? And, assuming this does get read before your next show, may I ask: if I'm wearing a brown leather day sporran, is it OK to wear Black Ghillie Brogues at the same time? Or, should I reserve the black Ghillie Brogues to times when I'm in a Prince Charlie with a dress Sporran?
