I like kim, i think she is an under rated actress, she is not afraid to take risks in her career, going to see her this week playing cleopatra in shakespeares antony and cleopatra at the chichester festival here in the uk, a role that is considered to be one of the most difficult for a woman to perform in theatre.

Indeed they are. I was just bemoaning the lack of actors that are able to deliver Cowards lines(as they were written) today. Another pair that were great in Private Lives were Patricia Hodge and Simon Cadell. Patricia Hodge was also great as Gertrude Lawrence in another show.

Indeed Kim is from Liverpool,and from 3 months to 11 years lived in Canada(but has been in the US long enough to count as American?)and Paul was born in Calgary. What I was trying to say (badly) was that neither of them have sufficient experience in Coward's works. I sometimes wonder if there are any actors today who can act Coward as it should be acted,maybe it's just lost it's original impact on us as a modern(and blase') audience?

Oh dear,going from the short clip here they are playing it like Noel Coward on speed. Coward is difficult enough for Brits to bring off,let alone guys from the US. Coward is a very sharp, brittle wit and here they have shattered it, by coming down on it from a very great height. Stick to "Sex & the City" Kim.
