Kim seems such a lovely down to earth person. She’s lovely .

This is a very real story. Everybody wants to be related to royalty or someone famous, but most of us are just normal average run of the mill people navigating life’s happiness and disappointments.

I've only seen the edited version with her meeting with the aunts. The part about him leaving for America in 1935 and forced to return is fascinating.

My great grandfather was like him. Lied about his name on every legal document finally found out who he was a few years ago. Do to finding legal paperwork. Turns out he left my great grandma shortly after my grandmother was a few years old. Turns out he was having an affair with one of my great grandmother friends family member. He left never divorced and so called married the other woman and had 9 children. He had 2 with my great grandmother.

So that means that the lady at the beginning knows Kim’s aunt Dorothy as well as Kim’s great aunt Edna (who is her mother’s aunt and of course Dorothy’s aunt). I wonder if she ever put 2 and 2 together and realised

George never told his new family about the family he abandoned, he was very secretive about his past; they had no knowledge of another family left high and dry, so how could they have helped Kim's family??
@dbcoco3 жыл бұрын
yes but George’s sisters and parents knew of his 1. wife and 3 daughters. From what I understand in this storyline, George’s parents never followed up or checked upon their 3 grandchildren. This I find sad.

Yes exactly, seems like the whole family was a selfish, narcissistic lot. My ex mother in law was the same, I was left with four children by her son and she NEVER once offered help. Thank God for my mum.🙏
@stephjovi2 жыл бұрын
My dad's family was similar. When my dad walked out on us they never gave a f about us at all. My older sister wanted to see her a a few years ago and my uncle told her, grandma only wants to see the imidiate family, meaning his family.

Stop with the man hating. There were bad apples amongst men just like there have been bad women. There have also been upstanding men who loved their families, just like there have been good women who have loved their families. Sick to death of people who try to color everyone with one brush. It's bigoted, and it needs to stop.

I have trouble believing George never talked to his family after his new marriage. I think they're playing dumb. This is a sad story and they should have checked on the girls and contributed to their welfare. His daughters were dressed in rags.
