If he said he's using the reused wet wipes to wipe grease off and be thrown away then I see his logic clearly. Using a wash cloth to wipe grease off is definitely a no-no. The hassle to wash that greased covered cloth is on a another level entirely. He's smart.

Just hearing about him rewashing the used wet wipe would automatically draw reactions like its ridiculous, extreme or even unhygienic but when he explained the reason it actually made sense. We have microfiber towels that we use in wiping the kitchen and it indeed takes a lot of time, effort, soap and water to get the oil off of it, its very convenient to just use something disposable on something greasy but not easy to crumble like paper napkins.

this might look silly and jk being frugal with wet wipes might seem ridiculous but him being frugal with it is actually really good for the environment. Unlike toilet paper, wet wipes doesn't degrade as fast as normal tissues- unless you buy the biodegradable ones which are quite expensive. If the stain or whatever you're wiping isn't that dirty, it's pretty good to reuse the wipe or even just use a rag.

Cuz then u have to wash the grease of the wash cloth, and grease is hard to remove so from his point of view that wud just be wasting water and soap to wash the cloth when u can just reuse the old wipe and throw it away easily

I don't understand why he just doesn't use washcloths and washable handkerchief. You can only use a wet wipe, once maybe twice as he washes them, but you are still going to throw it away the second time. At least with washcloths and handkerchiefs you can wash and reuse them for years before they will fall apart. He makes very little sense on many of his money saving ideas.
