I don't know for the rest, but for me personally I don't have any issue with my boyfriend lending my friend his jacket. I trust him enough to know that it doesn't mean anything specifically. It's just a nice gesture. But again this is just my opinion

It depends on my boyfriend's personality actually. If he is naturally thoughtful and caring, I wouldn't mind him giving his coat to his girl friend. There are people who always think about others. But, if he is someone who isn't like that, then I would be suspicious.

personally i think the best case scenario for the coat situation is to ask your partner first before doing anything. ask your gf or bf that their friend looks cold and let them take care of their friends.

Depends on your girlfriend actually. If your girlfriend is the protective type, no matter what you will not offer the coat. But if your gf is the open minded type, you can offer your coat reasonably. the open minded type is more tricky tho, she might said its okay but deep inside she really dont want to. The protective type will say no outright. Women are complicated to read hahaha

Ignore the friend. She’s an adult. That way, next time she’ll learn to bring a jacket with her. It’s not like she’ll die if she’s cold for a bit. And if she’s cold, it’s likely the BF will be cold if he takes off his jacket. Older people check the weather everyday - so they know if they need a jacket or umbrella that day. Life and experiences teaches them to plan according to the weather, so they don’t have those sort of experiences again (being cold during an outside activity because they didn’t have a jacket or unexpectedly having to run through the rain in heels or flip flops ).

It already happened to us that I told my bf to lend his coat to a female friend of him and mine. But that's coz I'm not the jealous type and its really fine with me but I do understand other girls that easily gets jealous or insecured. The only way in those situations is for the guy to discreetly ask permission to her gf. In case she won't give it then they should just move to a warmer location. Sure the right thing to do is being considerate to everyone but if you're in a relationship, your priority is always your partner.

I'm 28 years old now and it is true that these days couples often break up through text. Actually back in my teenage days haha I or my exes tend to break up through text and I'm telling you it well give you a bitter taste, but then who's to blame. We started through text so, we end up through text . And aside from that I had also an ex boyfriend who courted me personally and in the end of our relationship, I broke up with him personally. It was harder than I thought and I was also thinking that it might gonna bring a bitter taste like the other past relationship I had. But then by surprise, I went back to my country for a vacation and I, accidentally met him in one of the supermarket and we actually had a very good/nice conversation. So yeah,a clean break up is always we better than a break up through text. Lesson learned.

This is absurd, but it is true that people are this petty and insecure. I am never cold. If my boyfriend offered his coat to my friend who is clearly cold, then I would not care. A one off incident isn't anything to overthink. However, if my friend routinely doesn't bring her coat, then that would irritate me. How hard is it to remember to bring a coat, when you know you get cold? It's not a jealously thing. It's a childish irresponsibility thing.

True story: I knew a friend BF handed his hoodie to her Bestie . Just innocently gave her the hoodie bc she was cold. the GF didn't mind bc she thought nothing else. She asked her friends BF if she can give back to him tmr. But at the end. Kinda find out her Bestie had a BIG BiiiiG crush on her friends BF. I think that topic about being nice to the friend can get different reactions based on your country, culture etc. and as far as i can remember everytime a similar topic is being discussed most koreans think that it is better for you to "ignore" the friend of your partner, and just let your partner help his/her friend. for one instance there is this old celebrity couple Noh Sayeon and her husband are guest in MAster in the house (she also discussed this somewhere else), she is still mad at her husband for helping her friend pickup a food, to think that they are already "old" and married. and look at the reaction of the mothers here, they are already mothers and all but they stil think it is not okay for you to lend your jacket to your girlfriend's friend. so i think it is part of ther "culture" or somehing.
