Kim Jungwoo's Personality Evolution (part 2)

Part two is finally posted people! Since the first part of this was only from Boss to Regular era, we'll now tackle the Superhuman era to the present one. This basically just shows how much he has grown, as his confidence gets bigger more and more as these eras pass. And now that there's two new additions to the group, Sungchan and Shotaro, you can see him make them feel comfortable and makes them laugh. You can almost see him reminisce the moments when other members used to do the same to him when he was new as he knows that can help break the tension that they feel. Basically, don't change Kim Jungwoo. 💚

I think it's more that since we speak English as our first language, some of us may forget that others don't and that they might hear it differently from us. Personally, I understand how he got "potato", since the last couple words sounded like "potato" (especially "have that title"). But given the context of the situation and that most native English speakers assumed what she'd say, they probably didn't leave any room to think about how it would sound like "potato". For some ppl, it's cuz theyre ignorant, for others it's cuz they didn't hear it and didn't realize anyone else would. So idk. In other circumstances, I think you're right. Some are stuck up and have an issue with how non-native English speakers understand and respond to English, which sucks.

@@ashm003 yeah 😑 and it's sooo common in kpop fandoms!! Idols (and we non native speakers) don't talk in english waiting to sound cute or funny or meme-ish. Maybe the phonetic is too different to the native language, or they don't have time to constanlty practice, or honestly, they don't really mind not having a perfect native accent. Idols are using english to make their relationship with international fans more fluid, they easily could just hired a translator for everything. And yes, for the agencies this is business, but idols are people too, and they're not trying their best for us to say lol he said potato

Honestly idk who my ultimate bias or just bias alone among all the members of NCT because I seriously love them all but the fact that I came to slowly familiarize their names was all because of Jungwoo is a wholesome. This needs a part 3!!😅 Anyway, for a non English native speakers, American English pronunciation can be confusing. When I was new to Eng, vowels in potato will be pronounced like how I speak my native language's - pO+tAH+tOe. Americans pronounce it peh+tay+doe. Say it this way, quickly, has similar sound like TITLE, because it is pronounced tai+del TAY+DOE sounds like TAI+DEL. Say both quickly, you'll understand what I mean. So, to me Jungwoo's confusion is funny but very understandable. In any case, I think his English pronunciation of words he knows are the best amongst the non foreign swaggers.
