All due respect to Peter Fredette, but there is NOTHING lacking from anyone on this stage!! The total conviction this whole band played with on this show can't be faked, they kicked ass and took names!! And that BASS TONE!! HUGE!! Wish I'd seen this show when it was first posted, but glad I've seen it now in 2024!! Rock on!!

This band was so f'ing good here!!! Flawless playing of very complex arrangements, and actually enjoying each other on stage. You seldom get chemistry like this as egos just won't allow it. Kim seems a genuinely good human, and surrounds himself with other good humans. That's as rare as it gets!

I do believe I was watching this broadcast way back in the day. It sucked because I could not watch the entire show, because I had to leave with someone, and I did not have a vehicle. I caught maybe the first twenty minutes or so. Seeing the entire thing as it looked back when it first was on Much Music, was a great and satisfying watch. 30 years later, I finally get to see the whole show! I recently got back into Kim Mitchell's music so this was a treat. Thanks for putting this on YT!

Max Webster would have been huge. If Terry didn't go back to school and Kim didn't have family problems that band would be as big as acdc, or van Halen
@canadianroot4 ай бұрын
@@elliotjordan2326 I wasn't aware of the inside scoop, so thanks. I'm glad we have that body of music, but I think with tinkering, they could have been much better. Some of the lyrics were weak, and they kind of lacked an identity. When the songs were strong, they were in the stratosphere good. And Kim's solo stuff has plenty of gems. Glad he's stayed humble, and has brought his art to so many fans across so many venues, even small ones. I saw Max at my high school in 1974, and again backing up Rush in the late 70's.

Big Max Webster fan. Kim , super under appreciated for sure. I worked in the music scene in Toronto at this time , when there was a great music scene happening. Miss those times before the advent of , cell phones and 24/7 News/ Social Media. Human beings actually interacting and enjoying music together. What was different from today is that it was around all the time and in the air. Today you get the flavour of the moment blowing thru town to catch a pay check and then back to the silence.

@@Zubado1 yea I should've mentioned it was just a recorded version. It was recorded on a Scotch VHS tape with just the side label that says "Kim Mitchell: Intimate and Interactive 1992". Not even a label on the top. There were a lot of bootlegs at those record conventions.

I lived through this era of Kim. First cassette I bought was A Million Vacations. Saw him a dozen times. The audience always wanted him to rock out the Max classics. He should have have gone more in the hard rock direction. The softer stuff never went over well live. Killer guitarist, should have cranked up the Marshalls more... Hitting The Ground was a beautiful song though. He was never a sexy frontman and should not have been promoted as such.
