Even a casual fan of the women's game can see that Clark is clearly the best player in the NCAA and has been since her freshman year.

No they're not. LSU is a really good team with a below average point guard, who lost to an average team that also included 'The best woman basketball player on the planet". Congrats to Caitlin. I can't wait to see what she does in the WNBA. If you're old enough, you know that the best thing to happen to women's basketball was this Clark-Reese rivalry. Just like Magic Johnson-Larry Bird, this rivalry can take the WNBA to a Golden Age. I hope they both do well in the WNBA. Don't choose a tribe. Choose women's basketball.

Left out, Maravich scored his record in 3 years, Clark 4 years. In his 3 years, Maravich had almost a 50% more PPG than Clark. If Maravich had a three point line, his adjusted PPG would have been over twice Clark's. Those are the facts. Clark, however, is a slightly more accurate shooter than Maravich was, across the board.

You forget that no man has beaten that record 3 point line or not.
@ramseycattn5941
@ramseycattn5941 2 ай бұрын
Yep, that’s why there is also a PPG record. The career points record is simple math; the player that scored the most points. Not sure why years played or any other factor keeps getting mentioned. The person who scores the most career points gets the record. It’s pretty simple. Having the most points of all time doesn’t also mean the best player of all time; it’s just the most points, and it doesn’t need a qualification or an asterisk.

Dawn Staley is pissed because a white chick is dominating during a time when everyone thinks it’s a "black" sport. It’s reminiscent of when track stars were mostly white back into the 1930’s early 40’s and the Jesse Owens absolutely destroys EVERYONE on the planet and white people were complaining or not giving Mr Owens his due respect for his excellence. Can we just leave politics and color out of sports? It’s just great fun watching anyone play at a high level. BTW, Koby Bryant is my all time favorite and I just found out he got up around 4 to 5 o’clock in the morning to get his FIRST round of practice in. He just out worked, out smarted, out performed, had more discipline and desire than anyone. Amazing man. I’m so sad he is gone.

If it looks like it & smells like it....... they're jealous 'somewhat'. -- BUT -- 100% CORRECT ABOUT the Pistol !!! > Take away Clark's 3's & replace those with just 2 points for an honest "apples to apples" - and she's nowhere close - even when comparing her 4 seasons to his 3 seasons ? --- That's reality ! 🤔 2 DIFFERENT GAMES REALLY -- he was also w/o a shot clock that theoretically could have robbed him of opportunities as well ? 😯

Well...maybe it's true that they're "jealous". But maybe not. Early you showed Kim Mulkey's remark about apples and oranges in comparing Pete's record and Caitlin's accomplishment. What Kim stated was totally fair. And it was correct. I applaud Caitlin for what she has done. And from a pure points scored standpoint, it's historic. But the games between the two were different.

They have said some jealous-type things to the media. They have both tried covering it up recently with interviews. I am happy with the class that Mulkey and the LSU team showed this tournament though! But I do really think they are jealous for not having the attention like they always have. My opinion though - feel free to move on if you don't like it! Clark is a baller and I am enjoying the last ride! Next 3 years it's all JUJU!

No jealousy hate here, but both coaches have impressive basketball careers. Remember there was no three point range when Pistol Pete, or Cheryl Swoopes, or the other high scoring NCAA male player were during the collegiate career. However, due to the changes in sports new records will be continuously be made. Late comers to women basketball the WNBA have changed as well. More females are shooting three's period.

It's too bad that The Game Of Women's Basketball is Evolving, but The WNBA Is Not. They're Not Even Trying to grow their brand, they're just Continually calling every Woman who suits up "A Legend", and Demanding More Money for a League that has Never Made A Profit, and only exists because the NBA kicks in about Ten Million Dollars A Year to keep the Lights On, and the Courts Waxed

This is the first time I have come across this channel, and it will be the last time I watch any content from it. What both coaches said about Catlin Clark was correct. For the Hawkeyes to have any chance to win most games Catlin has to take a lions share of the shots. If she doesn't then they would loose most of the time. And the quote you attributed to Coach Stayle was from last season. And like any coach would she was trying to draw some attention to her star player who was up for the same award as Catlin. That is the same thing Geno Auriemma did last week when he claimed that his star player Paige Bueckers was the best player in the country. So why wasn't he mentioned in your little piece. 🤔🤔🤔
