It’s because if you’ve watched him in this reality show called 2 Days 1 Night (English title), you’ll definitely doubt the woman’s statements, plus everyone he’s ever worked with had nothing but nice things to say about him even when he was still a nobody. Then people started to doxx the woman and found out about her past and her issues. She was drinking while pregnant and posted a live about it as well. And her friends, according to Dispatch, voluntarily went to them to expose the woman and chose to defend Kim Seon Ho instead, that’s why a lot of people really support him. He seems like a really good guy who made such a bad decision of falling in love with a toxic person. 😢

More than anything I feel bad for Seonho’s mental health throughout this week. I’m sure it was traumatizing and embarrassing to have their personal life put into the public like that. At the end of the day, the woman was someone he loved and even though his name is “cleared”, it can’t feel good to see all these personal things come into the public (which is probs why he gave a vague statement, to avoid all this attention). I hope he takes as much time as he needs, if/when he decides to come back I hope he knows he’s supported

I agree so much with your comment. His ex really went overboard with the TMI and like one of the guys said...I literally cannot wrap my head around someone with such a questionable background trying to get other people to judge a person they KNOW for a fact is a good person and will not retaliate. It boggles my mind till date. I know Seon Ho is embarrassed because this business is just really dirty laundry. I have moments where flashes of her ridiculous first expose just flash through my brain and I get really annoyed that she was immature enough to post all that stuff that are now so embarrassing to know she was lying about. I feel like it was all so tragic and unnecessary and I only found out about Seon Ho through his recent drama Homcha so I was so pressed imagining how his genuine stans must've been feeling. This lady tried to ruin his rapport with his colleagues, co-stars, directors, industry people, his fans.... I mean everyone. And she almost succeeded because all Kim Seon Ho would do is apologise. All this OVERKILL just for one apology and then she thought everything would just go away. So immature.

So, marrying a woman based on her looks is okay, but marrying a man for his money isn't? This is a trade where both parties get what they thought they wanted (or felt pressured by society to do so), but suddenly one party gets salty because they can't have it all. From a western point of view and sexless relationships, what I see happening to the married couples around me is, once there is a child/are children, the whole dynamic in the relationship changes. Women still do most of the care work, women still do most in the household, if women work, it is them the kindergarten or school calls when the child is sick. And let's not forget that women are hugely disadvantaged in the labour market, firstly because they have to halt their career and/or are a potential drop-out due to pregnancy, also women are more in danger of poverty when they get older because of their lower salary/having worked less and having paid less into the pension fund. So, with all those disadvantages and after a a long day with children, cooking and cleaning (all of which is not recognised as "proper work") you would be exhausted. Most women I know are tired and really frustrated but men don't see it. They just see that the woman doesn't dress up anymore and doesn't want sex anymore.

A traditional women's role has always been seen as inferior and less important, hence justifying these males doing whatever they want outside and inside of their marriage, treating their wives like maids. Unfortunately, women have also been influenced to see it as such, that's why so many mother-in-laws belittle their son's wives, ordering her around like a slave and treating her like a child incubator.

@yyxwai3 жыл бұрын
It goes both ways. You can say the men only want looks but then you’ll have to also say those women only want money. Both are shallow reasons but keep in mind one is something that’s earned and the other isn’t. Those type of men go for the “pretty” girls because they are lustful and they think with the head between their legs.
@user-wt5if6rx8m3 жыл бұрын
@@yyxwai Oh so women are machiavellic while men are just following their natural instincts? lol You’re trying to act reasonable while not being reasonable. You skip the part where marriage benefits men the most. They get more time to concentrate on their careers and personal life, women do most of the house chores that include cooking, cleaning, laundry. When there’s a child in the equation, put that on the wife’s tab. If that’s how it ends up being for most women, why the hell would they not want a husband that could at least provide things like house cleaning services, babysitters? If you’re offering daily home cooking, why would you not prefer to be with someone who takes you out on dinners often? Things that balance the responsibilities in the relationship but yeah, they cost money. It’s different types of effort, depending on the deals involved in the relationship. The daily, physical, domestic effort vs the money making effort at a formal job. The problem is you guys think so low of women, you don’t recognize their part as effort enough. You expect women to do both? And still have time or energy to be hot and sexy? Especially if she also works in a formal setup, ironically making less money, why would anybody choose to put up with the worse they could get out of a relationship?
@yyxwai3 жыл бұрын
@@user-wt5if6rx8m You're just putting words into my mouth. Let me put it into simpler terms so you can understand: rich men who only chase pretty women will get pretty women who only chase rich men. Marriage isn't something that benefits one party more than the other. Advice: if you see marriage like that then don’t get married; you’ll ruin yourself. Also, everyone gets the same amount of time; men do not have more time than women. What you do with time is dependent on you. If we’re adding children into the equation (again, rich man pretty women scenario) of course women will be expected to pick up household chores. If it were rich women and pretty man the same rules apply: pretty man will be expected to provide household chores. In a scenario with a child in a two parent household where one partner garners a salary (x) of x>$100000 (aka rich parent), the other partner is best to stay home to take care of the child. Having a two parent household where a parent is given the opportunity to stay home to raise a child when the significant other is working is a privilege and possibly one of the best scenarios for a child to grow up successfully. Last point to address. You ended up generalizing me and all men thinking “[we] think so low of women” and “don’t recognize their part as effort.” I don’t think lowly of women and I recognize individual effort. What makes you think I don’t? My reply isn’t talking down on women at all. If you read it you can see I’m crapping on the rich men who chase pretty women by inadvertently calling those men dumb because they “think with the head between their legs.”

If these guys wanted a hot wife and the women wanted a faithful partner and stability is everyone not getting what they signed up for? They didn't approach them younger because they didn't feel they could so why is it bad that these women dated before them? Plus, given what I've seen about what women trade socially and economically for marriage they should definitely see it in a business oriented way sometimes. An even trade across the board.

David made very valid points on the marriage topic and I understand excatly where he is coming from with his arguments. And yes, if you don't want a loveless marriage, date a person you like for a while and see how your relationship/sex life works out. Once you know each other well enough, get married. Some people really make it more complicated than it is. Who gets married on the spot nowadays without knowing basic stuff about their partner? That's just asking for disaster! Besides, if you want to change something about yourself then don't just whine and talk about it, but make it happen. Most importantly: If you really want your marriage to work out, better focus on the character, humor and interests of a person. Beauty will fade and money alone can't buy love and happiness... - Coming from a 30+ year old person from Europe who has bee in a relationship since age 18, then got married to the partner at age 25 and now lives in a happy marriage with lots of love and even children. It's possible, guys! And just so we're clear, my relationship didn't start off with the picture perfect looks or money. We watched each other go through our braces and pimple phase during puperty before we became beautiful little butterflies in our twenties... And the money only really came in after finishing military service and university. You just need to see beyond the superficial stuff if you want to make it to and through marriage. Love was the biggest driving force. You just have to set goals as a couple and stick to them.

She counted on the public reacting just exactly like they did in the beginning, because of the social trigger word "Abortion" and the Woke Cancel Culture. at the end of the day, these men married these women for looks. point-blank. marriage is not a social institute based on trophies, looks, and sex-its based on two people coming together to build a family and support each other. Sex does play a part obviously but had these "beta" men married someone for them, they probably wouldn't feel like "pong-pong" men. This feels very juvenile tbh.

A self-respecting person with elegance of mind and manner would never resort to posting an anonymous public rant to defame and ruin another person. This says more about the integrity of the person posting than the accused. If there was any veracity in what was posted...there are private and legal ways to address them or they would openly stand by their claims. The malice was obvious from the first post. My interest in this situation stems more from gaining insight about the darker side of social media and its influence on public opinion.

@wisemafalda3 жыл бұрын
I agree with most of what you write here. Just a little objection. Believe all women is a reaction to society's disbelief and denial when it comes to violence (physical, sexual, psychological) against women. It's not a pass for any wrong doing on behalf of females. Any human being with basic common sense noticed the red flag in the statement: "he forced me to take an abortion with the promise of marriage" No woman who wants to have a child, I mean really wants to, gives up the opportunity to have one just because she is promised to be Mrs to Mr. So, believe women when they say they experienced violence from men, means listen to them, support them. And fight so the legal system is changed in a way that offers them justice. This case, with KSH, is not a believe women case. And it was obvious from the start that it was fishy.
@eddiy3353 жыл бұрын
@@wisemafalda Nope for level-headed people "believe all women"(the slogan needs to be changed) means giving women the benefit of a doubt and not dismissing the harm done to women as you said but that's not what 3rd wave feminism nowadays does. When majority of people say "believe all women" its basically means you're guilty until proven otherwise which isn't how it should be. You talk about level-headed people as if this man did not lose jobs and much more when there was hardly anything to prove that he was guilty. You're being level-headed but most were not.
@wisemafalda3 жыл бұрын
@@eddiy335 Starting from KSH losing jobs... that's sth pretty unique in Korean society. Nobody in greece would have lost his/her job if there was an abortion. Feminism is not an homogeneous wave. There are quite a lot objections to the meaning that sb accused of violence by a woman is guilty until proven otherwise. But...given the extremely high price a woman has to pay just to say she was abused... And the extremely low percentage of convictions, plus the legal, economical and social consequences men DON'T bear, then when a woman says she was abused I tend to believe her. But let me repeat, this case is not "a man abused a woman". That's why according to DKDKTV knetizens didn't cancel him at once and in an absolute way. I am talking about the korean audience simply because its cancelation rate is over the roof.

You can't really say we're in a "believe all women" culture when as soon as the story broke, most people didn't believe her. Even back when we first heard of this, most people accused her of lying because they like this actor so much. I wish we DID live in a "believe all women" culture.

Yes... speak on it Edina.... im so tired. Yes womeb are sexually assaulted and sometimes not believed. Thats terrible and those abuser/rapists should be persecuted. But there are also alot of women who lie on men or are just trying to get revenge becaue they slept with a guy who was using them for sex and they thought they would get a seriously relationship becsue they guys lead them on. Or sometimes the women are being delusional becaue its obvious thr guy is using them for sex. Those women who then go and lie about being raped or beaten or groped etc. are wicked. So no you can't just believe any woman. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Only based on the pong pong nam described in the video, it’s totally misogynistic. It’s essentially putting blame on women’s right to choose. As if these men didn’t stand right along with their wives in making the choice to get married. Also it seems focused on “pretty women” and how they are using their face to manipulate men into dating or marrying them as if “ugly” women aren’t worth getting upset about. Instead of blaming their past choices or the society misguided value system, they are blaming women. So yea… seems gross.

Ironically, coming from a 26-year old single dude who's never dated. Korea and Japan are too into marriage and how roles are dictated. Both genders are not happy with each other, they don't have understanding. If you're married or dating or whatever, just communicate and be romantic with each other. It doesn't have to involve sex but it can be hugging, kissing, whispering sweet nothings. Just be understanding. And no I don't need pity about my relationship status. I'm doing well for myself too. Romantic love will come when whatever sets in...

Our society as a whole seems to think that marriage/romantic love is the end all/be all, but fails to remember 1) marriage is literally a legal agreement to control property. No care/love needed. Marriage in society didn’t become a thing till ppl quit being nomadic and started accumulating stuff they wanted to pass on to their offspring 2) the ‘foundation' of romantic love is chemicals/hormones and maybe bonding thru trauma (like in movies where one is saved by the other) so without investing (ourselves) in the relationship, it's destined to burn out eventually. Honestly, I think it's best to live with your (platonic) best friend, as that’s an enduring relationship, and play the field till you find someone you are not only attracted to, but could love as much as you love your best friend. That kind of 'ship would be worth waiting for.

It is idiocy to just allow a marriage that doesn’t have a real friendship, and as a female, I wanted sex, too. Anything else, without physical affection or buy in from both sides, isn’t worth it! I saw some episodes of 2nights and 1day wherein KIM SEON HO cried for no reason and it did happen not only ones but few times it only shows that he is under going some problems where he cant even tell anyone nor cant even vent it out...KIM SEON HO kept quite for the longest time..endure the pain alone we may see him smiling but behind those smile is a dark part of him...and the said abortion was a mutual agreement it was not as if KIM SEON HO drag her to the hospital and do the abortion it was a mutual thing so lets not just point finger to KIM SEON HO because the girl can just easily say NO she is old enough to stood up for her own decisions shes been married twice and even connected with few men so how cant she decide for that pregnancy by herself...she can have our sympathy if she pursued that pregnacy even if KIM SEON HO did not agree but the mere fact fact she agree means she also want to get rid of that baby inside her womb ( but why?) one more thing is that why bring the issue now when KIM SEON HO is a the peak of his career there is a proper flatform to resolve the issue but why put it in media then when things get worse she back off (again why?)... Some maybe would not agree with me but no matter what i still support KIM SEON HO he is one of koreas good actor...It's just sad that such brilliant talent would go to waste just because of this issue. Still, I choose to support him...BUT the again being imperfect in Korean entertainment industry is a crime that's why most of their artist are resorting to suicide coz the pain is too unbearable for them. You don’t get to take your money when you die. But you do take the love, love who you want no matter the money situation. It should always be 50/50 in a relationship. While growing up when my mom was doing laundry or cooking my dad was right next to her helping. They’re in their sixties and still do everything together.

About marriage...I didn't hear anything about what matters most in a marriage: love (as corny as it sounds), mental and emotional connection, mutual respect, the list could go on. I did hear: hot, sexy, money, appearance, and other qualities that just fade with time and that have nothing to do with building a solid relationship. Note to the wise, if a woman is not interested in intimacy...it is most likely that the man is only interested in his own pleasure. Music depends more on the expertise of the musician as well as his knowledge of how the instrument works.
