Its unique to see a gymnast that was considered to be a "power house" type gymnast with such great flexibility, especially in her back. Love her mount.

She was a very elegant gymnast, yet so powerful, and clean. Great all around talent.

She had more artistry in her than she was given, she had a great compulsory floor routine but her optional floor had 8 year old kiddie choreography

She was really the all around gymnast except for bars...too bad the Olmpics weren't in 91'

Just better gymnastics back then.

Definitely more balanced between grace and athleticism which is sorely lacking in today's gymnastics.

I don’t get why she tied with Shannon here. It has difficulty and they have the same one hop dismount. It should be 9.925 or 9.900 its the Bela Karolyi influence in American Gymnast. He wanted to be the famous coach with kim but the best gymnast at that time was shannon and with another coach. And in the olympics he tried it again with his failed prodigy who did not win a single medal who was named the next nadia which wasnt the case. Bela Karolyi was a businessman and master showman. But one good thing he did was make US gymnastic a show and be notice by the US public. Hence the Cereal girls, the limping gymnast and the Magnificent 7. Its great PR and Marketing. When the seeds was planted. It work!

Kim did not deserve her World AA title either which she only won since it was in the U.S. She deserved bronze at best.

@@milkybum6339Kim hit EVERY routine that year, had excellent difficulty and execution combined and EARNED her AA world title. The commentators- FROM BBC- stated just as such and made clear she was the best that day. You’re just jealous she accomplished great things in her young life and you accomplished NOTHING at all noteworthy.

Not nearly as good as Shannon's and she needs way more extension on her leaps

She seems like a nice girl but she was a very overscored gymnast. In no way deserved her 91 world AA title which should have gone to Bogi or Bontas. It is crazy at this event she tied Miller's score on bars and on beam even with a hop on the dismount. Didn't have remarkable difficulty, execution, or artistry. Fairly average in all areas except power and amplitude where she was great, but that is it.

@@tonywilson8645 Agree 100%...she was another overhyped American gymnast...which American still do to this day....she had her 15 mins but ultimately ended up being overshadowed by Shannon Miller...especially at 92 Olympics. Kim's performance there was a disaster...and although I prefer European gymnasts...I did not like that Gutsu won all around gold...Miller was robbed there. Gutsu shouldn't have even been in the all around since she fell on beam earlier...the coaches cheated basically and said she replaced an injured team mate....which was not true...but kudos to Gutsu...as she did the job and got gold.
