Mr. Wafula, be informed that the mountain is not divided into East and West. It won't happen anytime soon. Ruto would need at least a thousand years to divide the mountain. Having said that, take note that Ruto trying to get back votes from the mountain is a bad dream and a waste of time. The votes has slipped from him forever. I also find you very naive and misinformed imagining that either Ichung'wa, Kindiki or Nyoro can galvanise any votes for Ruto regardless of the position they hold in government. I suggest you take a short trip to the mountain and get the facts.

If I were Ruto', I would appoint General Kahariri or Justina Wamae Wajackoyah's running mate. Both are astute and both are descendants of Mlima west and both are town born and thus are mavericks who know how interact with other communities unlike the son of mau mau. But on the other hand, Ruto' could decide to pick Gladys Wanga and play Moi's style. Moi had fallen out with Mlima because of Demoting Kibaki and Detaining Matiba and Rubia. But Moi went for Kalenjin vote, Luhya vote, kisii vote, North Eastern and coast vote. Mlima split their votes , between Matiba and Kibaki. Luo votes alone could not propel Raila anywhere. Thus Moi sailed through. Ruto can decide to go for rift valley, western, Nyanza, North Eastern, coast, Eastern and sail through very easily. He doesn't have to be held up to ransom by Central. Nairobi is a toss up.
