Actually, Aaron was really mature in that last scene! Probably one of the most mature things I've ever seen him do! He can be reasonable sometimes and level headed! It's just most people tend to remember the bad things about other people and forget their good sides! Sad that happens, but it does! Aaron is actually growing up pretty well thanks to Chaz, Paddy, and a handful of other people! Just because sometimes he can still act like a kid and fly off the handle doesn't mean he isn't growing up or isn't becoming a good person! Everyone gets off track sometimes, including some "mature" adults! I've seen adults in their 40's and 50's acting like spoiled little kids and throwing tantrums, or that's what I call them when they get angry because of something stupid or because they don't get their way! But, I don't know if they are bad people or not, or if they are just having a hard time at the moment! People are more complex than the boxes other people like to put them in!

Finally an outsider like Hazel to tell the truth to Chas about the dysfunctional family that the Dingles are. I can see Chas's side too, about Hazel wanting Aaron as reminder of Jackson. Hazel is right, if Aaron stays he will end up in prison as her words would come true. Aaron's words to Hazel about the pressure and him hurting himself glad he said it. Just them two talking it out brought forth truths when they see each other. It was hard for him to say, "She needs to go". Last few minutes was painful to see and hear.

Hazel is still holding onto Jackson through all the things he loved. I actually find this part of the story so tragic. Aaron is an entirely broken individual and Hazel hasn't got the wherewithal to put him back together.

Brilliant acting/writing.So proud of Aaron for calming down Chas and telling Hazel no I'm not confused or scared and if we're ever going to move on the best thing is for you to get your ticket and leave and for me to stay with my family. Its tough for Hazel but she knows Aaron's right. That was deep when they both said everytime I see you I think about the cup up against Jackson's lips.

@zanthus7 You're 100% on the money. When they look at each other all they see is Jackson. This is what will make their parting so terribly difficult. For both of them, it will be like losing Jackson all over again. Beautiful acting by Pauline & Danny!!! Thank you so much for introducing me to this wonderful show. Best of Luck to these two fine, fine actors! I hope we across the pond will have opportunities to see them in other roles. Again, thank you for sharing this show with us.

I always like Chas/Hazel interaction. They love each other deep inside. Only that they fight for their sons (well now only for Aaron). Aaron is so mature sometimes. Poor Hazel. It´s heartbreaking. The Aaron/Hazel thing is so powerful... and with the two best actors one could get... feels real

Danny and Pauline hit the mark, as always. I also agree it is time for them to move on in real life. They will both be back though, I'm quite sure of that. When Danny grows up a bit and realizes what he had in Edale, when he can play the part all the way, he'll be back.

People who commit suicide have no idea how it affects those who love them after they are gone... The question that never gets answered is, "what could i have done, or said..?" or "I should have..." When it is assisted suicide, Those questions and more will haunt the survivors of suicide for the rest of their lives. "what if..." "if only i had..." They will question the decision to assist for the rest of their lives and feel guilt. Or worse, Shame that leads to self destructive behavior or other addictions.

Hazel is trying to cling to Aaron who she now loves. She knew Jackson and Aaron loved each other too. What would Jackson say if he saw the agony they're going through. He knew it'd hurt and it made sense even when they loved him he felt stuck. He wanted them to look after each other but didn't he know they'd suffer? Even Hazel seemed to regret it but he just kept pushing them to it. Hazel really loved Aaron. It's sad because Aaron doesn't have anyone he loved like that. They should have kept them together

@drolah746 The trouble is - they only mature his character when the scene requires it - yes, he was behaving in an adult & mature manner in this episode - yet it's only a couple of weeks ago they had him throwing bricks through someone's window.

Pauline Quirk is a good actress and it is good that this storyline is finally resolved. Hazel does need to move on and Aaron can't be a replacement son for her because she is grieving for Jackson.

I really think I won't be following Emmerdale any more in a few months. The story lines around Aaron and not necessarily the actor (although I love Danny Miller) are the reason I pay attention to this show. And I don't think I'm the only one because anytime I hear about recognition of Emmerdale it's usually about Aaron. I hope they simply recast him because if he's not going to leave then the only way to get rid of him is to kill him. And I'm still recovering from the loss of Edwin on GTST.

A bit mean of Aaron to send Hazel away. I’m pretty sure Jackson would have wanted Aaron to look out for his mum. Hazel is also a much better mother figure to Aaron than Chas! And him saying he needs his family then leaves for France a few months later didn’t make sense! 🙄

Hazel wanting Aaron to come isn't healthy. What life would they lead? Jackson isn't there. He wished Jackson was there and they loved him but Jackson always said he wanted Aaron to be happy. He pushed Aaron away because he loves him and couldn't give him everything he felt he should have and Aaron loved him enough to want to stay. They shouldn't have made Jackson leave like that. Just wanted to give Aaron happiness then take it away

I agree with part of what Hazel said. She and Aaron do need to leave but not together. They both need a fresh start without each other. Hazel was dead right about Aaron's family. Chas is awful mother and person who speaks her mind first and thinks later, which makes her an insensitive bitch. Many in this town are like that - another reason why Aaron should leave fast. The only two reasons for staying - Paddy and Adam. But those reasons are not enough. Get out now Aaron. Run!!!
