Good review of the Kimber Stainless II. I have two Kimber TLE II's that are my primary daily carry guns. One is a back-up to the other as my EDC. Both are blued, 5" and in .45 acp. The only changes I have made to these are to replace the full length guide rods with Wilson Combat GI guide rods and the main spring housings with blued arched MSHs from Ed Brown. Personal choice. Both Kimbers have proven very reliable, and I trust my life to them.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Both are appreciated. I also have the TLE but in stainless. No mods as yet, but will probably exchange the main spring housing with an arched unit (personal preference). I'll be doing a review of it at some point along with my Camp Guard in 10mm. I have had no issues with Kimber 1911s, except for the Camp Guard. I solved one issue (FTFs). I solved that issue and I am working on the second (FTE) in my spare time, which is sparse.

A great and very informative video. As a 1911 fan I really appreciated the information about gun break in and lubrication recommendations. Thank you.

My kimber warrior can't get through 1 magazine without Jamming at least once. Its been to the factory 2 times. It still does the exact same thing as it did before, Jam, Jam, Jam.

Thanks for watching. I have a Kimber Camp Guard in 10mm that had many, many, FTFs. I was able to rectify that myself with a bit of polishing. Then, it started not extracting. I am going to get to that issue at some point. I have 7 Kimber 1911 pistols, and the Camp Guard is the only one that I have had issues with.

I’ve alway liked Kimber gun, very well made, shoot great….not a fan of running it dry,,,looking for trouble..

Thanks, Bill. I only run a pistol dry to reload. I probably over-lubricate more than anything. I find the Kimber 1911 to be well-made and clearances are tight when new. Proper lubrication with them is a must, even after they are broken in.
