First of all, you made an aria that is difficult enough as it is - even more difficult. And you sang it in a magnificent way. Then, a parody is ALWAYS a work of love and devotion. And it is evident in every move and every note that you love CB. And yes, it is very funny, and to the point, while it is not blasphemous or mocking. I heard CB herself loved it, and I can clearly see why. The amount of work you put into it is incredible and the result worth every drop of your blood, sweat, and tear.

Well would you believe it but this very weekend I saw that Cecilia Bartoli - in her role as Artistic director of the opera in Monte Carlo - engaged this singer to perform with her in Giulio Cesare and it was quite frankly the finest performance of a Handel opera I've ever seen. The truth of the matter is that NOBODY can do what Miss Bartoli does; if I weren't singing as Kimchilia, I wouldn't have attempted to sing the runs with glottal attacks on each note or on a different vowel shape every time. I mean they work for her and ONLY for her, which makes her that much more unique and special. p.s. I will tell you that this aria is not a part of my repertoire, since it's not meant for a male singer/character!
