I've been to Kyoto twice and it's one of my favorite city in Japan. I wind up staying across the street from Toji Temple but I never got to check it out because I don't think they're opened every day. It's actually quite far from Kyoto Station. It is about a 15 min ride by bus which were extremely packed during sakura season. Toji Temple also has a large flea market that is open 21st of each month.
@HerrBert19762 ай бұрын
not sure why you would take the bus. It's a 15 minute walk from the station as well

I am staying just nearby at Toji station! Did you have any recommendations nearby? We're planning to have days travelling the city but would love to see some local sights + food
@fusionor18 күн бұрын
@@jtaylor1311 There's a Family Mart close by that has a bar inside. You can bring food in from the FM. It's only one of two in Japan. Chidoriya to-ji is a good cheap izakiya near the station, just expect cigarette smoke though. Hinode-yu is a nearby sento or public bath. I highly recommend checking out local bathhouses as it's a great experience to relax, as long as you are comfortable being naked around strangers. Tokoton Tori Kotokoto - Tōji is suppose to be an excellent chicken ramen joint. Then you also have the Kyoto Brewery and Kyoto Railway Museum close by. All these are great places on your off or rainy day to check out.

I went to Kyoto when I was really little so I don’t really remember anything. There’s always too many places to go to in Japan that I haven’t made it back yet. I’ve been wanting to go as an adult so this video is perfect for me 🤩

If anyone is heading to Japan in October or later, the Nintendo museum will be open in Uji as well. You just have to deal with the lottery system to hopefully get tickets.

My favourite part of Kyoto is just sitting at the river bank (At the monkey park side, not the shopping street side) of Arashiyama River and just enjoy the winds and scenery of the hill.

I love the editing, color, and quality of the video, and you are very pretty. Can I offer some advice? When you mention the name of said place to visit, can you please include a little snippet of a google maps picture to show the approximate location so we can visually see where it is in said location? Keep up the good work!

Ok so I need help. there’s this song I’ve been trying to find for SO LONG and a lot of Japanese vloggers use it in there backgrounds and it’s almost like one summers day but like upbeat and it’s like this soft electronic cooing and if somebody could me out that’d be GREAT. Also this vid is great :]

Hi Kim, with the romantic train when I book the train, departure St -Saga and arrival St - Arashimaya or Kameoka St? Im not sure which arrival St should I choose if I'm going to the bamboo Grove? Kameoka St which is the last stop I believe and the longest ride.

Exclude air fare...about ¥30K to 40k a day for decent hotel,food, general shopping , etc ... If you going with a friend can split the hotel bill
@kimdao4 ай бұрын
It really depends on your budget and how much you want to spend. I’ve traveled on a budget before and was comfortable with around $5000aud for a month but that was me living very cheap in hostels and eating cheap meals everyday

I'm going to ask a dumb question. When you go to most of these places around Japan, can you use an American visa card, or will you always need cash? Thanks if you respond. I love your videos 🩷🩷

I do use my credit card a lot now in Japan. Most restaurants/shops do take them but also carry cash with you just incase. The shrines/temples is usually cash only

I am Japanese. I am happy that people enjoy Japan's culture and nature. However... I would like people to also respect Japan's nature and culture. There are far too many foreigners with bad manners. Japanese service is appreciated by people overseas because of our gratitude and spirit of consideration for others. Not littering, using facilities cleanly. To us, these are natural things. I would like people to cherish this spirit. I would like people from overseas who come to Japan to know about this and this spirit. Thank you.

Where ever you walk you set off the female alarms or detectors with your RFID passport! Whatever you do, don't post the words "ten" and "Kyoto" together while in halfway housing.
