We already own property in Australia. We don’t know if we will stay in Japan forever, plus housing in Japan doesn’t appreciate so it’s not good for investments.

Intraocular contact lenses are super cool! I have a few friends that have them, but I'd say definitely do some research on them if you plan to get it done. Some complications include glaucoma (irreversible vision loss due to high eye pressure) and quicker development of cataract (hazy lens) also if youre nearing your 40's its not super useful bc you'll soon need reading glasses to see up close. just somethings to keep in mind!
