Just used it on a turning, my 4th with the wax, glad I viewed your video before I did it. Turned out great. Looking forward to having you back in the rotation, I pray you and you're family are well, Scott

Thank you for having such an in-depth explanation of this product. I was about to chuck the container I had cause it dried out and I need it to tint some scales on a breast plate. I am also super enthused that you to are a wood lath user. My resolution for this year is to learn how to do that. My dad had a lathe in boxes since I was little and I finally assembled it in dec 2021 (35ish yrs after purchase) I am totally going to check out the rest of your channel cause the vessel you showed is one of the things I want to learn to do.

Hi Kim, I actually bought a tin of this at Michaels a couple of weeks ago, have not used it yet so your info really helped me out, esp. the part about the friction polish which I would have used and messed up my project. Great video.

I've wanted to do what you do with a lathe. You do such beautiful work. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate enough to get something hand turned. My dream is to get a hand turned cane. That would be awesome. Anyway...... I really enjoy your videos. They are calming. Have a great and blessed Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, peace, joy and comfort.

Of course I do - when I see an artist I see an artist - so why not show my appreciation to the artista just because she's a female and not a tripod? I think it's a shame that women in the world of arts do have it much more difficult even to be recognised than men. Especially because both sexes are raised in the believe that women are less valuable than men and their work, too. I think this in a way is even more 'gross' within the U.S.A. and her 'Deep South'. If your want to draw a direct line from Eve who bit in the apple and tempted Adam to do so as well up to be 'impure' every 28 days, supposed to remain silent within their communities (St. Paul) but to do most of the work - no matter what faith it is: from Roman Catholic to Lutheran, Calvinist, Zwinglian, Anglican to the Mormons and all the gazillion sects and churches it's the same. Southern Belles seem to be expected to be beautiful (as you are), capture a guy, have kids and - nowadays - fulfil the H,K,H,J, C schedule ( serving hubby including marital duties, raising kids, do 95% of the domestic work as housewife, having a part-time job, doing 95% of the church and charity work). Well... that's not only unfair but religiously untrue and practically seen a type of dependency only working because women are taught to believe that God wants it this way - the Mrs. doing the work, remaining nicely devoted and well groomed in order to please her Mr. (even if the Mr. nowadays can be a Mrs., too). To all of this reasoning in order to male domination I'll say only one thing: the original aramaic word used to name the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is f-e-m-a-l-e! When I see you working at your lathe, see these strong, elegant finders feel the wood and sending data to your brain - when I can see the impatience making you grip the tools tighter or 'just splat' some shellac or else on the piece... I think you tend to explain it in this kind of way... I always think: hey, TipKim! Ever recognised it's not impatience but your artistic force trying to bring the shape you feel in the wood and your plan for the piece including your artistic expression together an to life to be seen? I really think that your upbringing as the one who has to work three times as hard under every physical and emotional circumstance possible causes an obstacle against one of the real feminine advantages: let it grow! We're all created after the image of God - so honor God being a woman who has got the gift to have a creative talent coming from God! Let it grow, let it flow cause your art is rightful, too... (forgive me to have the music from 'Frozen' in my head while writing this line...) One last thing: I like to see you experimenting with additional materials like epoxy, the colors and the waxes - it's the next step in your development: Does a tree have to be painted with brown and green to show a living tree? I really am looking forward to the piece you're planning showing emotion - TipKim's emotion toward something that it's important to you. Honor your gift from God and make it shine!
