Kinda Like a Dutch Pour, Acrylic Pour Painting

Cathleen. WOW. I could write a book on what i see in this painting. I lived for several years in the 70s out in the bush in Alaska. I worked for a bush flying company and would travel down the Aleution chain of islands to deliver and pick up. This reminds me so much of the dark seas, the mountains that made huge valleys that we flew through and the storms that we encountered. All very scary but also stunningly beautiful too. This piece of art is my memories of that very special time. Absolutely wonderful and totally unexpected as i thought you were going to do some blooms. Brilliant, just brilliant. Shirley. X

I have followed Rinske for a long time, and I suspect I will be following you as well for a long time! What you bring to the table are all of the embellishments that you make to the 'base' painting. My tendency has been to NOT do that but just be happy with my 20 minutes of laying the base down. I have some catching up to do on all of your previous works and am not sure how in the world I have not come across you before this! Thanks for sharing. I should add that I really want to be able to generate large paintings (24"x36", 30"x40", etc) I think your talent will lend itself to helping achieve this.

I have done six of these, and some I have used as a background for a "double pour" (kind of) with some flowers on top, then resin it, and then add embellishment to turn the top pour into flowers, 3D flowers, and then resin over that. I really like them. I also made six of your sunflower swipes on black. My husband like them the best! Thank you for sharing, because now I have everyone's xmas gifts all done!
