I completely agree. This is actually the only reason that I’m not against the casting of RDJ. IMO, that’s the only reason I give them a pass on the strange casting choice because it does kinda make sense. Full circle type of thing. Plus RDJ originally tried out to play Dr. Doom for Fantastic Four and he’s probably about done with superhero movies in his career so maybe he wanted to just try playing a villain instead for a change either to mix it up or just to go out with a bang or something pretty much.

What about bringing back the Red Skull from the Universe where he was sent as a guardian, but since the "stone" is no longer for him to guard, how about having him return back to the earth, where he may meet up with Dr. Doom. Red Skull was one of the greatest villains in Marvel Comics, and by bringing him back, it may also be an excuse to bring Steve Rogers back to the screen, with The Red Skull Vs Steve Rogers (who doesn't have to be Captain America, or maybe be Capt. America, for those movies). In the end, it's Steve Rogers, and the Red Skull thrown out into the Multi Verse, to forever be at each other's throats..., battling to maintain a sense of "Good Vs. Evil".... where these 2 characters intersected with the main Marvel Movie Universe for the 2 Avengers movies. Just an idea, and how to utilize one of Marvels greatest villiains, which I don't want to see thrown in to the waste dump. This may be a good way to bring not only Steve Rogers, but also Hugo Weaving back into the role, where their interaction would be an incredible acting positions that would challenge both their acting chops. Hugo Weaving said he will not come back unless the role is challenging, and rewarding for his acting abilities that would challenge him. This imo would probably be one of his biggest acting challenge ever . IMO.

This is the best theory ive heard that could work with RDJ returning, being a doom bot is a good option too, if they did either of these I'd give marvel another chance, but with RDJ being doom im done with Hollywood ruining the characters and stories that taught me the difference between a hero and a villain. Here's my thing with Spidey 4 being after Doomsday. We still haven't seen a regular Spider-Man movie. And the last one finally set us up for one. Peter living in a shitty apartment, no money, no connections to the world. Homemade suit. A true Peter Parker story left to finally be told in the MCU after initially being introduced fighting Avengers then a villain with alien tech and then one with Stark tech in Europe with going to space and get dusted between the two. But if it's after Doomsday will it/can it even be a regular street level movie anymore? I mean, it's kinda his thing. Neighborhood Spider-Man, ya know? Still haven't seen it except for like a few minutes in the first movie that kinda just felt like a gag. And now the world's gonna be fucked again and he's just gonna have a street level regular Spidey jaunt in NY?

I've said this before, but I think Doom creates a 'suit of armour around the world'. These will all be Doombots, and he will use them to all somehow siphon the power cosmic from Galactus at some point in Doomsday. Bonus theory: they will establish how powerful he is by having him rip the Sentry in half, mirroring that moment with Ares in the Dark Reign storyline.

To me it seems the MCU is just trying too much, too soon. I'd say leave the multiverse in Dr. Strange's storyline. Strange has lots of baddies throughout his comics for epic confrontations. Same goes for the Avengers. Not everything needs to crossover. Just seems it would be easier to focus on.

Doom uses his greatest invention, the Space-Time Platform, to journey the Multiverse in search of an alternative to the Ultimate Nullifier.
