Either have Doom defeat the council of kangs to steal their tech or have him be the villain in Doomsday and Doom can defeat him to become the big bad. So many of us were heavily invested into the Kang character for it just to be completely scrapped.

They would've broken the internet with that. Kang would still have to be the big bad because Kang has to fight the council. Then eventually, the avengers and then when doom arrives he would need to deal with him too. Kang had a crazy role in the MCU with so many potential super fights that only Kang would be able to handle. Doom would've working in the shadows as he does while kang is playing on the field wrecking everybody. Couldve been a hell of a story and the best story told yet...

I don't know about this, Ryan. Why would Marvel bring back anything more than the bare minimum of Kang when they've already completely pivoted to Doom? For all we know, the post-credits scene of Fantastic 4 First Steps could be RDJ's Doom wipe out all the Kang variants from Quantumania, or it'll be the first scene from Avengers Doomsday. And while Doom going to see Loki to take his seat at the end of time does make sense, bringing the Beyonder in might just be unnecessary especially if the MCU will be omitting Battle World and simplifying it for the Void.

Also he doesn't know if they are related and if killing doom erases himself( though that's not how time travel works in the MCU)

It actually kind of makes sense, most of Kang's power is just future/alternate timeline tech. If you are the first to develop the tech to travel through time/multiverses in a unique position, fighting people with the same tech as you (as well as likely superpowers on top for a bunch) wouldn't be easy, Kang is defeated a lot even going back in time, but you mostly wouldn't go too far back as you need a bare minimum tech level to not start from scratch for anything you need to repair, recharge, reload or build so the majority end up in the 19th century on.

I like the idea of Kang putting Loki on the throne in order to let his own variant from a branched timeline come to fruition. I’d like that to be in the form of Iron Lad now we’re not getting Majors back. We can continue Kangs story with the Young Avengers and it still ties up everything quite neatly!

Well there's a theory that the dr doom isn't actually a villain variant of Tony Stark, but rather that Tony Stark is a hero variant of victor von doom. I like that way more because they can easily introduce the "real" tony stark without it being a recast.

So, just a thought. If RDJ is gonna be playing Doom, a character who is known for mixing both Tech and Magic, what are the chances he uses Magic the same way Strange Supreme was, in What If... and instead of causing these Universes to be destroyed, he is absorbing everything, taking the entire universe into himself, and gaining more and more power, and when Loki sees his, but it's unable to really interfere he pulls the Fantastic Four out of that soon to be destroyed universe, while Doom collects the remnants as a trophy, and begins using that universal power along with his Mystic Arts, to begin crossing into the multiverse and absorbing more power. He might get the idea from Galactus devouring worlds, since he is supposed to be in the F4 movie, and Doom is always considered to be just below or alongside Dr Strange when it comes to his mastery over the Mystic Arts. And it would just be a way to pay off an idea in What If.

There's a lot of if this plot point was turned slightly it would give us this plot point followed by some character themes comparsion. I think "who is this character, what do they want" and industry value of a character would also be illuminating. I agree, the Deadpool 3 third act insane villain plan lays a groundwork of multiverse destruction equals a battle world like place, but it doesn't tell us why doom would do it and why he would think he would rule it. Doom wanting to be loki is pretty detached until we see the character. Kang seems like a spent character that if brought back only injects more fatalism and timey-wimey get out of jailism. Franklin richards is a wild card but difficult to imagine going from intro to universe maker in so few movies that don't revoke around him. Loki or wanda do seems possible stand ins for a beyonder as power holders but not in personality.

Even if they did they did this I really think the kangs could play a big role both avengers movies . They could make them take to place of the beyonders. THEORY: dr doom trapped and is deceiving loki, in hell (doom finally reached and killed mephisto and is trapped in hell), like agatha did to billy on earth. He used mental illusions and projections and a fake/real story of a past kang the conquerer to scare Loki into making the multiversal tree like billy created the road, Loki ceated the ydrasil the Multiversal tree thinking hes saving his friends which may or may not be real. or they became real after loki started using his powers similar to Billy forcing things into reality simply with a thought. OR Maybe it was everything i just said but it really WAS kang and hes still alive and ready to be recast lol
