Eternals Return for X-Men Crossover in Phase 7: The Celestial War Comes to Earth in The Mutant Saga?

Alright well I promised that I'd cover some new stuff in the next vid, & even tho the Eternals sequel has been scrapped for the time being, there's still a lot to discuss with how the MCU will use the Celestials & Eternals in the future. So yeah hope you like it!

Judgement day could be a great meta narrative after the “reboot” where they pick and choose what to keep and introduce after Secret Wars; judgement day could serve almost like they’re passing judgement on the reboot

Earth being an incubator for Celestials that destroys life for the emerging Celestial to live is a stupid idea. It was stupid in Earth X comic series and it remains stupid in MCU. For Celestials to work in MCU, Disney Marvel has to retcon the events of Eternals. Also, Eternals is Inhumans 2.0 so maybe just let the idea go.

The Celestials return could take a long time. All they need to say is the Internals who were captured, were freed to return to earth. Celestials work over a very long time. This can be told in another movie, that is not Eternals 2. With mutants and inhumans probably about to appear. The Eternals can return.

Personally, I would LOVE to see an Eternals sequel. I found the furst film fascinating. The Eternals are a profoundly interesting group of heroes who span all of time. Also, I want to see Eros truly develop much more. Looks like Marvel plans on teaming up Eternals with The Avengers, Xmen, and others

After the universe is remade at the end of Secret Wars, maybe realizes that in this remake the Celestials are still coming back to judge Earth. Depending on how well the public resonates with that, a long running B-plot of the Mutant Saga could be collecting the characters from The Eternals plus a few more of their number, indeed in a Thor film and something related to GotG. Or if audiences are ho-hum about it then they can streamline it in not much more than a few post credit scenes, with them returning for the saga's finale but nobody cares that they don't know these mystery characters well because there's so much more going on. Was there a similarly singular B-plot of the Infinity Saga, or were there maybe a few? I'd say both Ant-Man movies introducing Pym particles and leading up to Scott getting trapped in the quantum realm. He even played a similar roll in Infinity War with far fewer audience members knowing or caring much about Scott outside his appearance in Civil War. (Maybe too Thor vs. Loki over several movies who finally make amends just before the tragic intro to Infinity War, or that plus everything about Vision and Wanda both being ranked C-plot? Perhaps sadly the Nat subplot and also Capt. Marvel I rank even less. I call everything about Cap. butting heads with Tony to be core A-plot of all the movies. No I'm not typing this in my Mom's basement while I work on my fan fic, I swear) I can picture two movies that could be a part of wrapping up the Mutant Saga would be "Avengers vs. X-Men" and "Avengers / X-Men: Judgement Day". Perhaps not with those as a 2-parter, maybe with "vs." taking a similar place in the Sage to Civil War, and Judgement Day being in 2 parts?

Yea i think you’re definitely on to something. I don’t think they’re completely doing away with the eternals and kang. I think they just have to postpone them and for the better. Circumstances and wrong timing/approach is just pushing these story possibilities back for a better time.

Maybe in Thor 5 the Eternals out in space can come across Thor and get his help in finding and breaking out there friends in exchange they help him with what ever villain he’s up against. Also if we don’t get to see Thor become more like his OP Rune king Thor in that movie in which maybe we could see him either lose his other eye or say his arm in which he could get the arm of the destroyer. Because he will for sure need to have some added power up before either Avengers Doomsday or Avengers secret wars. Actually that’s a better idea let him lose his arm in A5 then when him and all the surviving hero’s are sent to the void planet aka battle world. There could come across a version of the city of Asgard which in going to search through it he comes across the Destroyer and using the Odin/Thor force he has it mended to his missing arm.

I think both the avengers and eternals will be just be used to do cross overs with x-men. Like a soft rebooted mcu with new actors for characters like iron man cap Thor hulk etc. and the avengers only appear for big storylines like avengers vs x-men, house of m, world war hulk, judgement day, etc

There’s No High Evolutionary, Sebastian Shaw, Xavier, Juggernaut, or even lil Danny Summers without Dr. Essex. The Pool Stryker had was the perfect plot point for Clark Kent entering the MCU as Sinister.

1:54 *Geek rage. The main issue with *Eternals* was the lack of character development and its overindulgence in unnecessary historical scenes. While the movie did achieve its goal of introducing the origin of the mutant gene for the X-Men franchise, as well as setting up Tiamut and potential future involvement of the characters, it ultimately fell short of its potential.

Actually no. In the last few years they’ve actually had too many movies and shows and the quality went down quite a bit. Too much of something isn’t good. The problem is putting movies/shows out about characters who aren’t interesting or who don’t bring something completely different to the table.
