The correct way to play this game would have been percentages. The difference of the halves over the total weight of the object. Who ever has a lower percentage difference wins and removes the issue of differentials between different sized objects. This brings the results of the game into question. Andy should have beaten nick in the cabbage vs. squash round with a 5% vs 13% difference which means there shouldn’t have been an overtime at all and Andy abused Nick at yet another game!
