13:00 I think the decision to not launch a Halo BR is actually heavily influenced by the move to UE5. To launch and maintain a live service BR is a monumental task and a long-term investment. If Xbox launched the Halo BR on the current engine and then pulled the plug a few years down the line, it would've been a big blow. You have to think about the monetisation and how live service gamers usually build up a collection of skins. I agree with Tim on the fact that Halo has all the ingredients for a BR, but I think he's underestimating the amount of work it takes to support a top-tier BR. COD is able to do so because they have like 3 or 4 full studios working on that franchise, lol.

A Halo Battle Royale would have worked if there was 1-2 different studios supporting the mode. The reason why Blackout failed and Warzone was successful was because of how many studios were involved. Halo Studios were barely able to support Infinite’s seasons originally, imagine 1 studio working on both MP and BR.

Blessing I love you, and you explained the wonder of Halloween and the holidays perfectly! Yes they’re arbitrary reasons to make ourselves happy during otherwise dreary times. But also prepping for Halloween all October is such a vibe. It’s fun to see all the decorations and spooky stuff coming together. Then finally you have all the parties, candy, etc. on Halloween itself. So we’re technically not celebrating it every day, we’re not partying every day, we’re just preparing for it! And the vibe is awesome. PS. It’s not the same as setting up or selling Christmas decor the day after Halloween, which I’ll admit is excessive.

The 12 days of Christmas is based on religion. It took the wise man 12 days to travel to the manger that the baby Jesus was born in. So the 25th is the first day as that was when he was born, and it is when they saw the bright star in the sky and began their quest. Christians celebrate the 12 days until they arrive and pass out their gifts. Honestly it's very video game coded tbh

I'm okay when extending the time period for holiday decorations a bit, like Dec 1-25 for Christmas, or a week or 2 for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter. But decorating like 2 months in advance is a bit much

I think you have to take the developers comment about the battle Royale game with a grain of salt. He was commenting about the game having worked on it looking to get employment after the fact. How many people do you know would come out and say oh it was a bad game or it was just an OK game of course you’re going to say it was superb. It was the best it was a game changer, that’s how you make yourself look more presentable to an employer.
