sorry, but I just don't understand why Greg still thinks Bethesda is #1. I don't think I've seen anyone anywhere else think it's anything but the worst. And I can totally see where Andy is coming from, this conference aside form FF VII Remake and Avengers would barely do anything for non-JRPG fans. However, for us like Tim, WHAT A FUCKING SHOW. Conference may have been a 6/10, but FF VII Remake couldn't have been shown in a better way. That was a 10/10 blowout. I think this is only second to Microsoft because MS tried to appeal a wider audience? but this definitely had more heart than all previous conferences together. The crowd going actually nuts, the buzz, the murmur during FF VII is something you don't usually get.

it's weird. The combat feels like a culmination of every Final Fantasy before this. XII vibes, XIII vibes, some XV here and there (more like KH tbh) and tidbits of Xenoblade. I honestly believe they pulled it off because the combat designer is the guy from KH2.

This conference gets a couple of points, not much but a couple, from me for the use of Metric in the Dying Light 2 trailer. The song is Help, I'm Alive from the Fantasies album released in 2009. Funny enough, Black Sheep was originally supposed to be on that album, but it didn't fit with the rest of the album so it was used in Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

I believe once you have at least one ATB bar fill up you can pause it "tactical mode" and take your time to choose your options from a menu

In the avengers game they are going to go back in time using the time travel tech and fight together with their past selves

FF8 wasn't remastered not because of licensing issues with the music, but because most of the source code wasn't archived after development, which was how things were in Japan back then. But with AI up-resing now a thing, they can finally do the game justice.

I like the stories and characters of Final Fantasy but I'm not a fan of turn-based gameplay. Saying that, I'm pretty hyped for the remake.

The magic and special attacks are attached to bars but it isn't a turn based game. You can use your weapons as many times as you like. In Kingdom Hearts 2 after using cure you had to wait for the magic bar to fill up to use magic again This is how all magic works in FF7 remake except the game is also paused while your picking your magic. Special attacks work the same way, but as I said your melee and ranged weapon attacks are all in real times. You can swing that big sword and shoot that gun as many times as you like. It's a hybrid system.

I hope at some point the Final Fantasy VII Remake makes its way over to the PC its crazy that its going to take two blu-ray discs and its not even the full story and The Avengers game had me hooked till they said it was a live service not my bag of tea but I do look forward to seeing AH making videos in it

So as to how people wonder how she is able to keep up, I believe it is all scripted and that her responses on a paper ergo she memorizes her speech just like the rest of them. Granted I'm not taking from her training as a translator but as this is a big event translators will no doubt have speeches given to them just like how the presenters have speeches prepared for them.

Playstation fans should be ashamed and embarrassed for being led off a cliff and allowing this to happen. A similar example is how mobile gamers empowered game developers to introduce microtransactions. This is why Sony and Mobile gamers are in the same class.
