Top video Andy, I enjoyed watching that from start to finish. I liked how you didn't let the weather get you down and you remained upbeat about it all. 👍 That spot looked great. I can't remember if you mentioned where you were exactly in the video, but it looks like the quarry's around Crookstone Knoll way? (they're the only quarry's which I can think of at the moment, I'm sure that there are more, lol). Also, that café is always an excellent place to round of a camp at. 🙂 Finally, thanks for the shout-out. We'll have to meet up at some point and do a camp together, if you fancy it?

Thanks for the kind words mate. My next wild camp will be with my sister who has never wild camped before, but has recently got the bug for hiking and such. She completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks back in June (after a bit of training from yours truly) so is looking for her next challenge. I'm up for a collab as well at some point but will have to fit it in round everything else. Maybe in December when I'm less busy with the Woodland camping group, and (my cover) band activity dies down. Thanks again.

subbed and all that fancy stuff mate.. planning on popping back there this week again to get back into it all. shame you didnt know about the water supply just below your tent. i thinnk your air mat is in the exact spot i was on, if you go back up on the rocks theres a sort of a stone couch that should shelter you from most rain. but nice camp mate you got a decent morning after the rain an it was nice to see ringing rodger without clag..

Cheers Watty. Hopefully I'm back out on Kinder the last weekend of September, plus a woodland hammock camp in a fortnight at my local permission with my mates. Taking my sister for her first wild camp on the Kinder trip. Not decided on a spot yet as there are a number of places on the list. This weekend's looking good but I have a gig with the band I'm in Saturday night so no camping. ATB
