Superb Mark...enthralled by it all. The camera work and visuals combined with the sound and great commentary just lent Kinder Scout and air of beauty rarely seen on youtube. Truly a fabulous video. I to like meeting the old skool folk. Lots of knowledge and insight. Well I'll be back to watch more...thoroughly enjoyable. Until next time all the very best. Mark.

nice one Mark real nice flow to that one mate...take the weather forecast for kinder with a pinch of salt.the place makes it's own weather,I've had my arse kicked more than enough up there with wrong forecasts.think the xtra mile comes from the back & forth for the walk by's bud,I shud know I do enough & by the way rocking the one glove look.lol...nice one mate TFS & ATB.Andy.

Thanks mate, the weather definitely does what it likes up there. As for the miles, I use my phone to record footage so that will be stationary while doing walk bys so it can't be that. When you work distance on a map it's like the crow flies and doesn't take the ups and downs into account. As for the one glove look, that's because of my phone, the joys of touch screen 😉 Thanks for watching mate, ATB Mark

Fantastic vid mate, best editing yet by a mile, as for the extra mileage that will of come from the magical mark taylor walk by, classic Mark!!! 👍🏻 catch you soon pal and congrats on the growing channel atb mike
@MarkTayloroutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it , the walk bys certainly add miles to my legs, but I film with my phone so it won't add miles to that as it's stationary. Also thank you for the congratulations and I will see you on camp soon buddy ATB Mark

Thanks mate, its always worth going the extra mile for the videos, in more ways than one haha It just seems a natural progression, just knowing what to film and when, and having a rough plan in my head. Really glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching, catch you on camp soon, Atb Mark

Nice one mate. I've done that walk a few times, although I do it opposite way round. Did you look for the wreckage of the Sabre jets as you got onto kinder?. Not a lot left now, but I always like to look as I'm passing.
@MarkTayloroutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, its a great walk. I think the wreckage was all covered with snow as i didn't notice any. I'll be going up again though :-) Thank you for watching, Atb, Mark

The extra mile and a half will include the extra walking to get the video shots.
@MarkTayloroutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yes you would think so, and in truth I probably did even more than recorded. As my device recording the miles was my phone and that is stationary for the walk bys. I think the extra distance comes from the ups and downs as you can’t really measure that easily with a map and some string. Thanks for watching Atb Mark

Hi Mark was on a ramble in the week. Started out at Bowden Bridge car park with the intent on getting to Metmaids Pool. Took the trail past Kinder Reservoir an took the trail to the right of William Clough and got to a point whereby I couldn't see a way forward... felt like I failed an need to go out an complete what I set out to do, ultimately land at Mermaids Pool an wild camp the night. Any advice would be most welcome. 👌✊🏕
@MarkTayloroutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Never a fail if you made it back in one piece 👍🏻 Pretty sure you do have to go a little of the beaten track to get to mermaids pool, you can either drop down onto it via the higher route or head up from a lower route from the one I think you took. If you have an offline maps like OS app or are handy with map and computer I’m sure you’ll get there next time. Thanks for watching Atb Mark
@joeoutdoors01612 жыл бұрын
outdoors I did actually see it just couldn't find a safe way to get to it, gonna download OS maps an I'm sure that'll be most helpful next time I set off, thanks for the reply.
