Shout out to the dad around 8 mins and 50 seconds.... He's there to surprise his kid, and the rest of the kids were excited to high-five a soldier.... Even while holding his kid, he kept high-fiving the rest of the kids.... Made his kid's day and the day of every kid in his kid's class.... My hat is off to you, sir....

It’s not so much the people coming home that gets to me. It’s the “thank the lord they were actually able to come home” looks that the parents give their kids when their kids come home and surprise them

Thank you for sharing, these stories are fantastic. Please pay proper respect to the title associated with their branch of service. This is a Marine and a Sailor NOT a Soldier. Soldiers are in the Army. Marines are in the Marine Corps. Sailors are in the Navy. Airman are in the Airforce. These are NOT interchangeable.

On the political side....Afghanistan (just for a starter)....history repeats itself. So many young lives disregarded and utterly unimportant to the point of death (s) !! Just to have this country project victorious to the very point of start. Lives lost. Taliban now in control. Nothing gained. So many young lives lost. For what. Failed politics. Failed military operational intelligence. Failed target.
