My first husband passed away shortly after our second child was born incredibly unexpectedly. I have been with my current husband since my youngest was only 18 months old and she’ll be 11 in a few days. He has truly been a blessing in our lives.

I would have my step mother adopt me in a heartbeat. I’m so forever grateful for her ❤️

The best thing about children asking is they have the choice & freedom to do so, we can't choose our birth parents or what they do to us or don't do. This means so much more when we find something parents or guardians who we want to ask for adoption.

I adopted 2 of my 3 daughters and its the best thing I ever did I get as much love from them as I do my biological daughter and all 3 of my girls tell me they love me so I must be doing something right

I think adoptions are more than actually giving birth. When someone adopts, they CHOSE YOU! Giving birth is one thing, but CHOOSING is so much more.

Im so happy for all these families...my mom had me when she was thirteen and i came to my foster mom when i was 4 days old...she named me and i went all through school with that name..when i started working i took my birth given name by my biological mother...my mom wanted to adopt me at 40 years old, i said no...my name was all i had from my real mother...i loved my foster mom. I don't know who my dad is and was told it would hurt me to know who it was... a part of me is missing....i would never wouldve asked my foster dad to adopt me after what i saw him do to my mom...i didn't want for anything but love.. she loved me but no outward affection...i had asked her why and she said her parents didnt show it...i still haven't found my real mother...

I don't remember how we met I'm guessing the VFW, but we had a family friend, when I was a teenager, and he asked me what my wish for my birthday or something and I told him to be my uncle. It made him happy, but it was really cause tired of saying Mr.

I find these videos very moving and touching but I don't believe children should be the ones asking to be adopted! Adoptive parents should be asking these wonderful kids. Some of these responses by "Dads" are so cold as witnessed by the first little girl Myla who is obviously nervous and excited but hardly gets a nod from her adoptive Dad. Does anyone feel the same as me?
@elliesouza71710 ай бұрын
No. You are wrong. There are many kids being raised by step parents who would love to adopt them but can't because a bio parent, that won't be there but doesn't want to give the satisfaction to their ex, will refuse to allow it. And for others, it's simply showing respect for the kids by not pressuring them. It's not a bad thing at all for kids to ask.

I don't think it matters much to dad's. I have 2 step daughters myself and I consider both my daughters and I don't need paper work to make it official. I imagine other men like myself feel the same way.
